mod 135640 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 I don't think your going to rack up enough "moderator air mile points" for that one in Kelowna but who knows, it may take off like Ottawa you may prove me wrong! If you do bring people to the board from your area by making the discussion forum active and enjoyable for everyone it will attract the local service providers in your area to the board so everyone wins. Tips: Don't not take anything personally, try to be as fair as possible, don't be to quick to pass judgement and don't let anyone post negative things about any of the ladies. The last part is very important to us! It's not fair to the ladies to be slandered - especially since posting here is anonymous and unfortunately many other sites exist for people to do that already. Good luck and have fun.

I am a young girl who know nothing about this industry except for the more people I talk to, the more they say I dont belong. i am very welll deucated and upbeat but for some reason I want to take thay plunge into this business.> Im not even strapped for cash. Im a stay at home girlfriend who cooks and cleans. I just sort of want to know the behind the scenes to this life style so I can make up my mind if its the right thing to do or not. mod 135640 Report post Posted February 12, 2009 When you say "young girl" I assume you an adult? (over the age of 18) correct? No one can (or should) help you make this choice. This is something you must decide on your own and educate yourself first so you do not jump into it blind. Read the threads here (in all the cities and sections) and take in all the information this community has to offer. If you have questions you can ask and most of the time someone will answer you (the answer my be in a Private Message however) Keep in mind that this business is full of dangers so you must educate yourself on what to expect and make sure your personal safety always comes first. Stay off the streets, the public often views street walkers and escorts/callgirls as the same thing (Just because they both have sexual relations with clients) but that is not true. The streets are riddled with pimps, drugs and much more danger plus it is illegal to solicit sex in public so you can be arrested for streetwalking in all of Canada. Escorts/callgirls are safer and less exposed to the dangers of the streets. It is legal in Canada to be a callgirl (Sex for money) as long as you follow the laws (Section 210-212 of the criminal code of Canada - you will want to read this) Educate yourself on STD/STI to make sure you stay safe and your customers stay safe. If you contract a STD/STI you can not work so your business shuts down (sometimes for a week ... and it could be permanently if your not careful) always use condoms for intercourse (No exceptions - ever) and educate yourself as much as possible before you choose this business as your line of work. Stay away from drugs, pimps and creepy people! and stay safe!
Kelownafornian 103 Report post Posted February 23, 2009 thank you very much for taking the time to write out all that information. I understand no one but me can make this decision. I think that I am just terrified of being hurt. although I am the age of majority here in bc. I am a fairly tiny person. but on a plus side I have phenominal intuition and always trust my gut instinct. as for std/sti do you basically just have safe sex and get check regularily? what about if i dont want to have sex. I mean I am a licenced massage therapist and everyone has back problems. again I thank you for your post. It has given me a lot to think about which is exactly what I need right now. maybe someone on this site can make a "20 things ever begginer escort should know about being safe" or something like that. thanks again take care H
mod 135640 Report post Posted February 23, 2009 Intuition should not be relied on and safe sex does not prevent the spread of all sti's so some research on that should be in your list of things to do as well - just so you are aware of what to look for. If a guy has warts for instance you should know what to look for as a condom does not make you safe from everything. You can get oral herpe's and lots of other stuff as well so educate yourself and yes, regular testing is also a very good thing to do most cities have a free clinic for this. It's a dangerous business and you must use your head at all times and always be cautious. If someone tells you different they are lying. Let your intuition help but if you let your guard down you could end up in a bad situation. Every job has dangers unfortunately this business does attract some sick men who prey on women much more often than other business's. Escorts are service providers who provide sex for money (Prostitution). Prostitution is legal in Canada as long as you follow the law. I would suggest you research the laws cause if you break the law you could find yourself with criminal charges. If you are a RMT you may want to look at massage spa's. Some illegally run massage spa's offer sex and other sexual activities but most are just full body massage offering massage on the man's genitals until release. Also some spa's offer topless, nude and other "exotic" forms of massage. You do not need to have a RMT to work in these places but I am sure it would make yo more popular. These are considered body rub parlors and in some cities a license is required by the owner and the opperators. If you are caught working in one offering sex you could be charged. (Even if you are not offering sex yourself). Looks like you have a lot of reading to do - From your reply I figure you have not researched this business well enough yet. Keep reading... cause if you still think you can be an escort without having sex you definalty have not reasrched this business yet. In Canada the term "Escort" is a poliet way of saying "call girl" or "Prosititue" or "Service Provider" or "Sex Worker". No escort in Canada that I have ever heard of offers a date without sex, everyone knows that escorts are sex workers. (Well everyone except the silly munipalities that try to "License" escorts but tell them they can not have Sex with clients - these municipalies are just trying to make money off prostitution like a pimp does or they are tryign to scare the ladies out of town - either reason it's wrong) Sites exist that can help you with your 20 things list. http://www.walnet.org/ for instance. Use google and you will find many of these sites. If you can find a really reputable agency (Really research this one first however) you may want to work with them first (I am not suggesting this is a good thing to do but some ladies prefer to start out this way - some agencies however are not reputable so be VERY carefull with this one). Kelownafornian 103 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 Well I just wanted to say thanks for all the information. Its funny how the world works. I went to meet a woman to join an agency and now Im running it. I work on the business side of things. Helping the business grow, finding new recruites and doing market research. I love the fact that I am still involved in the business and yet I am making use of my education and learning more each day. I have to admit, I feel as though I am doing something so intruiging that thoroughly makes me happy and still I wear all my clothes. I would have to say though, the cherry on the cake would have to be I still make my fair share of profit thanks to my RMT certificate. I feel acomplished because what started out as me trying to be someone I am not for a simple thrill, turned out to be a very well paying job while sticking to my beliefs and giving zero happy endings. What some people plan to do, I actually did it. Again,I thank mod ane everyone els who welcomed me and gave me the information and advice I needed to make what I believe is one of the best decisions of my life

odlum 100 Report post Posted June 10, 2013 The advice of the Mod, is excellent. While I am new to this site, I am not new to the Kelowna scene. I visit the city often. The streets are not a good place to do business, neither are the bars and nightclubs. The best place is a safe incall location. Kelowna is an uptight city, so a location with a discrete entrance and parking will help you stay below the radar. If you are interested in developing a "respectable" clientele then a clean and neat place with a shower is essential. The fact that you are asking for advice indicates that you are a "thinking" woman. Plan ahead, be discrete, enjoy yourself and always play safe and you should be very successful. Good luck and best wishes.
