Reddog2402 2224 Report post Posted August 11, 2010 The Westin and Marriott are definitely good options. You may want to touch base with Emily (http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/member.php?u=22822) - she visits fairly often, and can probably point you in the right direction. 2tuff2tame 247 Report post Posted August 11, 2010 Just so we are clear do you want one that you need a key for the elevator ? Also Emma may be able to shed a little on this for you.
Naughty_Nadia 100 Report post Posted August 12, 2010 I've worked in both of them, and they both seem to be very SP friendly. You can PM me if you have any specific questions or anything. :)

No I dont want that, its just that westin in Ottawa and Montreal need keys to use the elevator and its a lot of trouble. That's why I want to be sure that they dont close the front door or that at a certain hour visitors wont need a card to get access to upper floor. Amanda Bella 421 Report post Posted August 12, 2010 I stayed at the Four Points Sheraton and you need to make it clear to them that you want a room not over the 4 floor this way, you will be away from key cards. They knew why i was there and they were super nice to me, in my next trip to Halifax i rather stay at the Four Sheraton! I also stayed at the Lord Nelson and they threated me very well! No Key cards to the elevators, not at all!
Naughty_Nadia 100 Report post Posted August 13, 2010 Neither the Westin or the Marriott requires keycards to use the elevator or locks their doors.
Emma Alexandra 123368 Report post Posted August 13, 2010 A few other options are Prince George and The Atlantica
