I agree, remember using a land line? or in fact a dime and use a pay phone.;-)

 

Yes, and now people call landlines, LAN lines. LAN stands for local area network (remember those people!).

 

I remember when you could call back a payphone. A friend of mine use to use one at the corner of Dundas and Yonge Street to keep in touch with her boyfriend while she was at Ryerson.

When I was a firefighter it was forbidden to bring a cell phone with you under our suits. This is simply because while you are concentrating on your work it is a disadvantage to be distracted by a useless phone. We had our "walkie-talkie" to talk to each other that was all we need. I think the same applies here if you are with a special lady, don't get distracted by a PCD.
