Download Google chrome as your browser on your computer and or phone.

When on backpage on your computer all you have to do is right click on any photo and it will give you the option to google image search.

When on your phone all you have to do is hold your finger on any image for more than a second and it will ask you if you want to google image search. either way If you find the same pictures popping up on other sites than you know its bull and you can save yourself headaches

tineye.com is also a great resource. Copy and paste the url for an ad and it will bring up all the pictures. Click on the photo and it will search the web for the image and tell you where else it has been used. I usually use tineye and google image search before considering trying someone new. (One might miss something.) It at least rules out the lazy scammers who just rip off images from the web to make bogus ads.
