Brody Boivin 8445 Report post Posted December 6, 2015 I was told by a fellow SP, that using e-transfer or Paypal payments can be quite the way to get my self thrown under a bridge as payments can apparently be cancelled after any appointment. Help? Also I have been in the industry for 3 years now (21-24) and would love if a verified indy could help a fellow indy SP with verification. Not the greatest with computers and just want to be taken seriously.
roamingguy 300292 Report post Posted December 6, 2015 I'm no expert but I believe payments done via credit card can be risky as a client can cancel the transaction after the date Pay Pal I believe doesn't allow payments for adult services and can refuse to process payments without refunding the money EMail money transfer the client sends the payment via e transfer, the companion accepts it, once accepted the companion has the payment. The sender can only cancel the etransfer if the receiver hasn't accepted it yet. I know many ladies use email money transfer, and personally as a client I prefer this method of payment. Saves carrying large sums of money to a date RG
Brody Boivin 8445 Report post Posted December 6, 2015 Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely try it out
Ice4fun 78407 Report post Posted December 7, 2015 I think RG hit it right on the head and that etransfers are very safe financially for the lady as long as the lady accepts the transfer before providing the service. Just my Opinion
Brody Boivin 8445 Report post Posted December 7, 2015 thanks for the input. I already went ahead now and made etransfer possible on my website!
cinelli 22184 Report post Posted December 15, 2015 PayPal terms of service forbid paying for services they consider illegal. PayPal can freeze your entire account, not just sp fees. Too risky for any lady to be using. I use bank transfer since I usually go for overnights or weekends.
igab 5629 Report post Posted December 15, 2015 Just be aware that you are creating a paper trail or maybe in more modern parlance, an electronic trail of your economic activity. Those records will be subject to subpoena by folks like Revenue Canada or LEO investigators.

Those records will be subject to subpoena by folks like Revenue Canada or LEO investigators. True but most ladies, well in my experience all ladies use email addresses that don't raise eyebrows. Nothing that would make anyone think the transaction has to do with this lifestyle And even if questioned, there is nothing illegal about paying for time and companionship. Ice4fun 78407 Report post Posted December 15, 2015 With out a doubt the usage of email transfer creates an electronic trail of the money transfer that could be tracked by law enforcement if so inclined. The email address while in most cases can be discrete does not change the fact that the payment processing organization keeps records of the transaction that could be used to link the two entities carrying on the activity. So if you are worried about being caught up in a police sting that tracks the money then don't use electronic transfer. Now with that said I think while it is important to identify the a potential risk (someone tracking the payment) it is also important to consider the likelihood of that risk actually happening which in this case I would argue is virtually zero unless you are involved with trafficking or underage prostitution. Law enforcement is never gonna utilize the type of resources we are talking about to go after independent escorts who operate reputably. Perhaps the bigger risk with electronic transfers are less legal and more personal... the likelihood of your spouse or significant other stumbling across etransfers in your bank records... that is a real risk and highly more likely if you don't take the necessary precautions. Brody Boivin 8445 Report post Posted December 15, 2015 I usually ask for cash payment, for discretion reasons. I only offer e-transfer when requested, and the suitor has no issue with doing so. Only my name shows and my email is also non-suspicious unless a spouse were to be involved, in which case cash payment would be the best way to go.
EmilyRushton 253377 Report post Posted December 15, 2015 As a precaution like anything else e-transfer should be offered with clients you trust not just anyone. I personally would recommend NOT putting your e-transfer email on your website, provide it to those whom you trust when requried. The less you put out there the better for everyone.
