Have you ever been brousing and come across one of your own ads taylored to fit a different SP?

 

Today I came accross an ad that had the same headline as me. I used a cool headline that it took me some time to create. (an original)

 

I looked in to the ad to find not only is the headline stolen but the body of my ad as well. I was furious then I checked the picture in tineye and guess what...... Fake picture too.

 

I also see that her age is getting younger and younger. I did message her to find out why she is using stolen ads and fake pictures? I realize she is young and maybe needs help being new to the industry and all.

 

I did not get a response. I then asked her to take the ad down..... no response.

Unless you are both advertising on CERB or Escorts-Canada, you can't do anything about it.

 

I know an SP who's content was lifted from her website by another SP, and she complained to the MOD and that SP was forced to change it/take it out when the SP (who was an E-C subscriber) complained.

 

Other than that, there's nothing you can do, really.

i just recived a death threat. I am not sure if this post has anything to do with it, but this is my first death threat ever. Wanted to add that since I think it is connected to this post.

Opps. I just noticed you're from the west coast. There is not much else you can do but usually these type of people don't last long anyways. Guys figure these women out pretty quickly. Aside from being upset, think of it like this... if another escort is using your content or tag lines, just remember that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

You are strongly advice to file a report a police report. This is a serious matter!

The person called from a blocked number. I always answer and ask them to contact me from an unblocked number or to give me a number to call back on.

 

Will the police be able to do anything. I have had issuse with stalkers in the past and I knew there information and the police did nothing, but tell me that should be expected in my line of work.

 

It is hard to go to the police when you know they feel like you brought this all on your self. Hopefully the new laws will change that.

Sasha, you seem to be very isolated from information, in spite of the fact I know you have been on these sites and have had a lot of opportunity to network, get support, get advice, and find good information. These sites are here for more than just advertising so PLEASE utilize them for your safety too!!

 

The reason I say this is that you state here that you expect the police to judge you, not take a threat on your life seriously, which is far from the case. They are not going to tell you that, and if you have further questions, please pm or contact susi on p.erb for assistance.

 

To make a note of harrassing callers, even if they are block #, press *57. This alerts a trace and shows that you found the call harrassing. (you need to do this immediately of course) Next, you did place this info on 3 sites, and more likely the call came out of the p.erb post.

 

I find the best defense is to get offensive, lol. You need to tell us exactly who is posting with your information. For one thing, it is up to you to alert everyone of the false pics, and ad info, because at some point someone is going to go see that sp, thinking she is you, and end up muddying your good reputation by posting a bad review. (I assume it will be a bad review, because clearly she is not the girl in the picture and the description is not her!!). But it might end up showing up with your name.

 

So tell everyone, put it into Neighbourhood Watch, but you do need to provide the proof. If it is a picture, show the original picture and the one in the ad. For the ad text, show where you placed the ad first, and the copy.

 

I had an sp right in my neighbourhood who copied my ad exactly, only changing the physical description. She was found out because someone got confused by her ad, thinking it was me, but having trouble matching the description. The second confusion was she was in an older 3 story walk up, not a more modern condo, which was in the ad lol. Another one copied my ad exactly, except she is younger and brunette. I called her up, pointed out that she might not wish to be connected with a blonde advertising a dozen years older. Fortunately she apologized, blamed someone else for taking the ad, and took them all down. I believed her as I had seen her ads before, and they were all quite a different style from mine up until the day she said she needed someone else to post for her.

 

Also, you can contact abuse@ the name of the site.org and report it under copyright violation or as "posting your info without your consent", since your pics are being used.

When I was in Thunder Bay... I came across MY WHOLE WEBSITE copied and a few words changed... *(In just a different colour template) I helped another girl set one up and showed her how, but she took my writings pretty much verbatim... I guess I was just more verbally adept than she was.

 

I called the other SP on this, and she denied it... FINE Whatever... But I had proof...

 

Sadly (for her), when she copied everything over, she also copied MY links, which meant that her website was linking potential clients to my Cerb Recommendations. :D

 

HAHAHAHAHA! I win :) I never told her, she never realized it, bear in mind she's retired now, but that always made me laugh to see that.
