Just to chime in, for a second. I think, no make that... I know I look at just about every new album posted here by a lady. I do comment on their photo's regardless of what body part may be shown to all.

I also enjoy all types of women who do post their albums and I thoroughly enjoy their tasteful photo's.

Normally I get a profile note saying thank-you,or in fact private pm's that basically sets up a line of communication, and then perhaps a date.

I don't believe there is any harm, any devaluing of any woman here on this board,on the contrary it is really endorsing lovely women without any prejudice or dehumanizing a lady.

Those that wish to continually post,I see nothing wrong with it.I don't think the women that are posted in these threads feel that way as well. Some have had commented in the threads, and also posted photo's themselves of other ladies.

I don't hang around the photo/best-of threads much. I am neither fer 'em or agin 'em. As with everyone else here on Cerb, some threads and topics interest me a great deal, some not so much. I did wholeheartedly support the idea behind Vanessa's "Beautiful, Voluptuous, and Full Figured" thread.

My interest in a lady has never started with her photos, but I can't say that such a thing would never happen (I'm not entirely sure why this is, because I don't think I'm any less visually-oriented than "the next guy"). I am always very interested in photos of ladies whom I have personally met, they inevitably bring back some great memories. Of course, I find that the easiest way to find new photos of the ladies who are special to me is to go directly to their albums.

Neither "side's" (if you will) opinion in this thread surprises me in the least -- differences in outlook are inevitable (and educational!), even though everyone has the absolute best of intentions.

I would just pause to make one comment on the specific case, cited earlier in this thread, of the client who booked solely on the basis of one photo in a "best-pic" thread -- and who was disappointed with the outcome. In that case, I would think that the fault lies not with the "best-pic" thread, but with the client who didn't bother to do basic research.

Oh blah blah it's a celebration of beauty. Beauty encompasses ALL of a woman, not just her ass or breasts. These threads are not about beauty but having a nice collection of wank off material all in one place.

I'm not saying that wank off material is a bad thing, but let's call a spade a spade shall we?

Nobody denies, as far as I know, that beauty encompasses all of a woman, Berlin. But as long as pics of asses and breasts are being posted on here by our sp's, we're going to keep admiring them. I fail to see what's objectionable in that.

One advantage of cerb is that it provides excellent alternatives to wanking. :-D

The pics help direct us to the right partners, just as they are intended to do by the sp's who provide them. (The pics help, but are only one element in the choice.)

We post photos of ourselves in our albums as a way to advertise, but the threads, largely all started by you, I might add, are mostly posted to by hobbiests.

And my only issue with the best of threads, as I've said before, but which all of you seem to refuse to acknowledge is that they are totally exclusive!

Us fat gals had to start our own thread just to be appreciated in the same way!

And by posting only parts of a woman in a best of thread, totally denies that she is more than just that part. Why does everyone fail to see this?

Again, I'm not saying this is being done on purpose, but jesus christ, open your eyes.

This is how I felt. When I look at the "beautiful bums" thread, I don't see beautiful bums, I see beautiful women! I still don't understand the "body part" mentality.

I also post photos to advertise, and while I LOVE massage, I actually don't like having my pictures posted here. I'm very much a one-on-one woman meaning that I like to be focused on one man and have one man appreciate me in return (at any given instant lol). That is why I didn't like stage shows while stripping and why I don't like posting the photos on here.

Heaven to me isn't having a bunch of men drooling over me. It's being one-on-one and having him appreciate me and flatter me. That's heaven to me! I know other women are different, and I appreciate that some like a lot of attention, but I'm not one of them.

oh I'm certainly not placing all the fault on the thread for that one case, I was just using it as an example as to how "best"s can be misinterpreted...as for reasearch...we always tell a new member that the research tool for specifics of a lady in his hometown are a great thing...This particular member just happened to do a search for "abs" & "flat stomach" and "toned" and the thread popped up. I agree he should have done more research and looked at the rest of my pics. Theres no doubt about that.

Well I love all the 'Best of' threads on this board. I think Cato is a great contributor and I hope he keeps posting. When Mod had to stop postings of outside pictures Cato picked up the idea of celebrating our ladies here on CERB in his threads.

I've really enjoyed this vigorous exchange, and thank all participants for it.

A few concluding remarks from me (really, this time, it's my last word on the subject).

These are meant respectfully, and not as a provocation. In any case, I won't be responding further.

I don't want my contributions here to be misconstrued. I have of course started picture threads (not all of them, but some) on here, but they're just a small proportion of the 73 threads that I've initiated on cerb, most of which are recommendations and the like. The picture threads happen to be popular, and in the case of Best Bums, highly popular. But there were far more raucous and uninhibited discussions of female body parts on cerb long before I started the "Best bums' thread, long before I was active on cerb. You only have to do a search, for example in the Ottawa escort discussion section under "Best butts" and even "Best face", which were discussions more than pictures, but, as I understand it, worked along the same lines that some people are objecting to here, since they focused on aspects of beauty in apparent isolation. So it's a long-standing tradition here. Is it a good one? I have yet to be convinced of its faults. No one, as far as I know, sees ONLY the body part, Megan, but sees it as precisely a part of a beautiful woman. A sexy and arousing image, yes, as it's supposed to be if the advertising the sp's are doing is working. And we respond to that.

I wonder if Berlin could please clarify why it's OK for an sp to post a picture of her breasts or bum or whatever as advertising, but not OK for a hobbyist to post the very same picture as exciting, excellent, arousing, whatever? I can't see what the distinction is that you're driving at. And surely that's the effect you want to have.

As to the claim of exclusivity, Berlin, I don't understand how it is supposed to operate. Who is doing the alleged censorship in this wide-open community? Is anyone prevented from posting a pic they find interesting or worthwhile (or wankable, if you prefer)? If there's a cluster of a certain body type or types that occurs more often than others, surely that's just a matter of the preferences of those who happen to post (not necessarily of the community as a whole), but ANYONE is welcome to post; and if they don't, how is that the fault of those who do?

There were complaints last year about what some people saw as the predominance of spinners on this board, and I answered then in the same spirit I answer now, in defence of openness and of not being confined in a narrow orthodoxy. I want the maximum diversity and variety on this board. I have my own preferences, but they're just that, and I don't want to restrict anyone's expression on here. If others have different preferences, let them be expressed. That will make us a more robust community.

I hope that people will take these remarks in the spirit that they're intended in, not as an argument but as a conversation.

I'm sure the conversation will continue, but I've said all that I mean to on this subject.

I find this conversation quite interesting. At the same time it raises a debate: pros and cons.

Maybe we should start a thread, and let the SPs have fun of us: What is the best of hobbyist?; that could be interesting.... or maybe not after all :-|

No, after all it's not a good idea, isn't it guys ?

Well said Cato. As I have said it before I really enjoy and appreciate all your contributions whether the great recommendations or the interesting societies you have started and invited us to join or the pictures that brought brightness and joy to my life and I can speak on behalf of many cerbites who not long ago overwhelmingly voted you as the Cerb Valued Member with almost 50 votes ahead of the runner up (who happened to be myself). It was a clear vote of confidence in your contributions. They (cerbites) all approved of all of your contributions to this board and they reflected this fact with their votes and one of those contributions they approved of (among many others) was the "best of" threads you have started which I really don't see any problem if it is with lady's approval ad it has been. If it was possible to capture ladies' personalities too, I am sure we would have had the best of personality threads too with lovely pictures of their personalities. As I have said it before cerb is a much better place to be with your contributions. Keep up the great work.

No one that I've seen is shouting their posts, I too am enjoying the back and forth and exchange of opinions on this subject. On the subject of the SP that started the thread advertising full figured beauties in image appreciation, it was an idea that was first OKed by the ladies in private via consensus before it came to being posted.

As for our album photos...we like them to stand as a representation of our complete selves within our album...evan if a certain body part stands out, we hope that the people viewing them will not see them as a breast or a bum, but as a combination (researching recos helps too to decide finally what is on the other side of the body-parts).

Having just uploaded a new album of photos....I can be confident that my (and other ladies') photos dont just show a close-up of my nipple or my backside etc...but maybe offer a tease or a peek at some good features. This to me doesnt scream "Look at my breasts!". And if it does please let me know.

I think the main thing is that many ladies dont feel comfortable when they feel they are part of a roster of body-parts.

when someone labels a ladie's parts as "best X" I get the same cringing feeling inside when I hear an escort advertise herself as "the best escort in X-city"

does that make sense? I dunno....I'm not burning my bra here but something just rubs me the wrong way when pictures define a hierarchy of honorable mentions.

Mod even said in a recent thread that described "best ever escorts" (for winnipeg apparently) that "making titles like "The Best" is not really fair and it's like rating the ladies (Who is better) - very personal choice." I dont see the rating(or honorable mentionings) of our features to be any different.

heck I'm wearing a push-up bra in my latest photo-set. Now i'm worried, lol

So how about we all agree to let rename them "beautiful bums", "gorgeous nipples" rather than "best of"

This would imply no ranking, it would also allow those who enjoy the threads to post and view them.

Annessa says it better than I could have:

I don't want people to just be looking at a thread on bums and see my bum. I want potential clients to look through my albums and get a good sense of what I look like, and maybe even a bit of my personality.

The main difference between a provider posting a picture and you posting a picture is that it is HER picture. She owns it. I know that once a picture is out there on the internet, you can never get it back, but I think it's still respectful to allow the woman or man to have control over it if they so desire.

On the subject of the SP that started the thread advertising full figured beauties in image appreciation, it was an idea that was first OKed by the ladies in private via consensus before it came to being posted.

An important distinction. I have no problem with this thread because 1) It's clearly a roster of women, not body parts and 2) All the women approved it by consensus.

Cato, I can't give you any more rep points right now or I would - very nicely said - as usual.

I don't think you need to defend yourself and your contributions to CERB at all. You are a very important part of CERB and your well-deserved title "most valued member" says just that - all of those members that voted for you said even more when they shared their opinion.

Thanks Cato, for giving so much to CERB and helping to make it what it is.

Hey!!! Hang on!!! Wait a minute... how come I wasn't voted most valuable member?!? Come to think of it, I didn't even get that many nominations - only my friends nominated me... What's up with that?

I mean, just because my posts aren't as insightful, fun, intelligent, nice, humorous, or even as useful as say WIT, PistolPete, Kyra.Graves, scottthecanuck, Cat, Seymour, OldDog, Megforfun, Cato (I could go on and on but I'd run out of space!...) doesn't mean that I'm not the best too! That's not fair at all!

I'm special too you know!!!

I don't care if it's your birthday! I want a present too! Where's my loot bag!?!?!?

OMG no ones is questioning Cato's contributions to Cerb.....this is an open and friendly discussion :-)

scotthecannuck, I still dont think that the ladies that would rather be appreciated as a whole would still be happy with their body parts being listed in a roster. But yes the lack of the word "best" would be a good start, heres an idea tho...before re-posting someone's image how about the poster gets the lady's permission before doing so? The ladies that are ok with having their pictures in a thread about their body parts can be mentioned and the ones who aren't wont have to worry about their photos being on display in a way that they aren't comfortable with :-)

I like Annessa's suggestion that a hobbiest ask permission before posting a picture or even ask providers how they feel about starting a new thread, as we all did when we started our own.

You are right, Annessa, that no one is questioning Cato's contribution. I've known Cato for 3 years, seen him several times, and I have nothing but respect for him as a friend. But he's not God and this isn't the church. This is CERB and we're allowed to question things!

...seems sensible to me, that would ensure the ladies would be a voluntary part of the thread, and also by implication mean the threads were acceptable and enjoy the support of both providers and clients.

I think what I have enjoyed most since joining CERB is the sense of community and openness. The reason that I will go out of my way to see a lady from CERB is because she is a part of this community. I can tell a lot of guys feel they are being complimentary and others feel they are helping with marketing (which I find kinda crude but what do I know). I think if we listen to the ladies we can find ways to compliment and recommend that don't give offense or stir unpleasant emotions.

I think the locker room Omg she has the nicest ... Ever comment should not be on the board though it is in our hearts and minds. What I find cool is the ladies are trying to teach us how to express our appreciation. Keep it up girls us men are kinda slow lol but we will get there :)

in the end, I'm sure us ladies would all rather be defined by the sum of all our parts (this includes the mind) than one part in particular.

Us ladies definitely dont sit back and judge you guys on your err....well you get what I mean. its definitely more of an attitude and comfort deal....not a break-down of your genitalia.

However, If gents feel the excitement to promote our body parts, just realize that "best"for one person is not the same "best" for the next.

Annessa isn't the sum of all your parts your private life and isn't that what 99.999% of ladies in this business strive to keep away from clients? The reality is that none of us are, or should be, in this expecting to find a bff and in real life religious, political, environmental etc. views are important but maybe irrelevant to adult entertainment choices.

As Cato said we need to remember what we are in this for and, for me, a lady's appearance is way more important than her opinion of Harper or Obama so I will continue to look at pictures and use that as part of the decision making process.

I agree about the different perspectives on what is best and, assuming they continue, maybe in future the threads could be "IMOAP" (in my opinion aesthetically pleasing).

Thank you for this. The thing that bugs me about this thread is that it's hobbiest after hobbiest defending the threads without appreciating what us ladies are saying. I think that instead of defending, hobbiests should take a step back and listen to what we are saying! Thanks again.

While I agree with you 100% Megan, I am going to take the realistic approach here. Men are visual creatures, no ifs ands or buts. Women take great care and pride in their appearance; we coordinate our outfits, add accessories, take care with hair and makeup but yet those admiring glances you get out in public are more than likely based on one of your assets not the whole. Men tend to appreciate the "whole" woman once they have established a rapport. We supply a fantasy and if their fantasy is my ass then so be it! I only expect my friends and SO to admire the real me :) But I still do wish it were different; one can dream!

True but I am sure that they feel the need to express their thoughts here this way because more than probably, they can't express them at home.
