Helena D'Orville 33237 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 I have seen videos in a few ads and it seems to be a growing trend. Ladies and gentlemen, what do you think of this? Do you prefer pictures only, or is a video a nice plus?
NotchJohnson 214123 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 I have seen those ads Helena and so far from what I have seen I'm not impressed. Many will make the video themselves and either will not show their face or only their face and they just stand with little movement. If you want to show a small video to me get a person with a video camera to stand back so we can see your entire body in sexy lingerie or show your assets.
Brad 49548 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 I will admit a video catches my attention, perhaps in part because of the novelty. I also think they are often used to offer reassurance that the poster is legitimate and not just using false pictures.
YoungBeautyMirella 5600 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 I put a short video on my ad just to show that my pictures are real and just to have some fun with my ad. I took it on my web cam, I don't have anyone to take the video for me and I do not show my face for obvious discretion reasons. It could be a nice bonus, however, just because a girl may have a video up it still doesn't guarantee it will be the same girl from the ad unfortunately.
Lexy Grace 103697 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 I'm currently in the process of making a few to go along with my ads and new pics after my upcoming photo shoot. I was against it at first but now I think it may add a little something hot and show more of me, that I'm a real and legit companion along with my recommendations and it will show a bit of my fun nature personality. I also plan to wear some of the same outfits from my new photos in the videos.
Mikeyboy 27133 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 I think for many is a way of proving that the other images are real. It's easy to find millions of images of attractive ladies with a Google search to fake an ad. It's harder to find a video that matches them. Not impossible of course but lends credibility.
GentMada 2181 Report post Posted March 19, 2016 I like the idea of adding a video and I agree with NJ: the video should have some added value not just more of the same. About showing that the person is real, some girls hold a card with their phone number handwritten either in pics or in video... IMHO that is a very good idea, simple and efficient. Eva3340 does it on her ads Cheers, GM.
Katherine of Halifax 113932 Report post Posted March 19, 2016 (edited) Well folks don't ever expect a video of me. I have a hard enough time presenting a nice photo. My thoughts. I have seen some very well done videos but some well, not tasteful. Some of the videos I have seen would not be permitted here and links to this video would not be permitted either. Sooo... Back to drinking tea and eating cookies. Any more than that and you are in potential trouble. But to those that can pull it off with class and dignity go for it and excel. Edited March 19, 2016 by Katherine spelling
newguy75 518 Report post Posted March 19, 2016 I think a nice sexy but tastefully video that reflects personality and/or sexuality would be a little more enticing than just photo's. Nothing pornographic, just something that gets you thinking I would like to spend some time with her ;)

Guest **ng***1 Report post Posted March 19, 2016 If done properly, with good lighting and imagination, video can really grab interest. But if it isn't done well, then the opposite effect. I agree that shooting with your phone probably isn't the way to go. The more effort put into preparing and showing your best assets will get you noticed. Guest *Ste***cque** Report post Posted March 19, 2016 I think a video would be a nice plus. The key is to maximize its potential. Let us see you And hear your sexy voice. If you can include a playful aspect of your personality(playing the piano in lingerie:)) even better. I'm not a big fan of the selfie video though. This is all assuming you want to let people see a secret side to you.
Guest Prufrock Cummings Report post Posted March 19, 2016 A video can be a great way to market oneself a little more three-dimensionally. But for me it's not any sort of deal maker or breaker. I photo or two and the "about me" section to learn more about her is more what I look for.
Ice4fun 78407 Report post Posted March 20, 2016 There is certainly nothing wrong with having a video as part of the ad... I certainly check out the videos when I see them so at least initially while they are new I think they might give a lady some extra traffic... On the question of selfies vs something shot with a little more production value... well it's hard not to say that a well shot and edited video is an added attraction but frankly this business is I think hard enough to manage without us guys now expecting that ladies should be shooting videos on top of professional pictures. A well written ad with some accurate pictures will catch my eye.
Liv Waters 52361 Report post Posted March 21, 2016 Hi Mia, Great thread. I think videos can be a wonderful marketing tool if they have relatively high production value. That, however, tends to cost alot of money... like a lot; that is, unless you are a film student, or have some similarly talented friends helping you out. Otherwise, a video can be unflattering and work against you. I am pretty confident about my looks, and consider myself to be photogenic and, yet, when I do photos, my friend (a hobby photographer) takes hundreds of photos over the course of a day or two, and as many as a dozen or so photos, or as few as three or four are winners... Those photos that capture an essence, a moment, a sexy pose, some sparkle. Something that captivates clients and potential clients who will view them. And, even then, photos usually have to be adjusted for light, etc, etc, and that is a great deal of work if you want a polished photo (unless you are super trained on the software and even then), even if you are not aiming for magazine quality, which I do not. And, yet, image management is important. A video format is like hundreds and sometimes thousands of singular frames strung together. There are so many variables to consider...appropriate staging of the mood and setting, lighting, editing, music... these are considerations that are crucial to great photos, but with photos, the situation is more forgiving. Most escort videos I have seen tend to come off as awkward, including a number where it was obvious some real coin was spent. A few exceptions come to mind, but the big stand out to me is a Genevieve Marceau video I saw quite some time ago. I no longer see it around, but, wow, it was amazing. Nothing in my mind, has touched it since.

You could get 90% there with a good quality cell phone camera, a friend and a plan. Amateur photos appeal to me just as much as a professional photo, as long as the amateur ones have some thought behind it and it wasn't taken in a bathroom. Same idea goes for video. An example of what I consider a very good, and no doubt professional video, is Gia Wren Marlowe's video she has on her website Giawren.com. If you haven't, check it out. Guest st*****ens**ors Report post Posted March 22, 2016 I think videos are gaining popularity for two reasons. First, they are perceived as more credible as evidence of a provider's reality than photos (though technology will render that moot in a few years.) Second, they work as effective advertising for lots of men who want lots of fantasy material prior to contact. Personally I don't care. If photos are accurate and clear, and correspondence seems genuine and warm I don't need a potential contact to jump through hoops for my attention. blacklabdog 3049 Report post Posted March 22, 2016 I have done a lot of videography (concert, events) & DVD/Bluray production for 10+ years. This type of video isn't my specialty but I would say stay away from doing it yourself using you cell phone even if you have an Iphone 6/Galaxy 6/7. Most good cameras shoot good HD video and are readily accessible - even if you rent form Henrys. IMO invest in getting good photos done first to go along with a website then move onto quick videos. I certainly think videos can capture personality better in general but videos with poor production values can be a real turn off. I think it is possible to do it yourself with right equipment and if you had a suitable environment with optimal lighting. I probably use 5 different video editors in the course of a week but software that'll do the job can be purchased in the $100 range. As Anna says video editing is more involved than editing photos ( photographers now will be sending me nasty messages! ;)) but software does help if video properly shot in first place. Video is not to the stage where clients need to see but its a good way to stand out
