GoinDown 3669 Report post Posted June 22, 2016 Yes sadly .. Strip clubs are dying off .. Just like land lines, DVDs and the SLR camera! The ubiquitous nature of porn and the destigmatization of home/hotel based sex work is squeezing the life out of this time honoured industry. They will soon be an anachronism except in the US where stultified laws and mores about sex will endure for the foreseeable future. Enjoy this quaint pastime while you still can ! Bern 341 Report post Posted June 22, 2016 I went 3 times these past few months. First time in over 10 years. Just not the same. It was quiet. I was gonna go tonight (on vacation) but now I am not sure. Hearing too many "bad" (more like disapointing) things. But I would go see Dreamgirl if I knew where she was dancing :-)
tallOttawaMan 779 Report post Posted June 23, 2016 In Montreal I go to Cleopatra which I think is the only place in the city with ten dollar dances and it's a great time and the girls are mostly very busy. I'm someone who if he likes a girl gets a lot of dances from her so $100 is a lot easer than $200 and she's still making good money at $100 for a little over half-an-hour. I also go to Cleopatra when in Montreal. I've tried a few others but always end up going back. At $10 you can give a dancer a try for a song or two. At $20 you are more likely to wait for the one you really want. One thing I miss are the feature entertainers. I know the dancers would have troubles getting danced during the main event, but it would draw in a lot more patrons who will get dances before or after the show. Additional Comments: And yet the one club that allowed contact in Vancouver, Number 5 Orange, charges $50 a song and is still going. Vancouver is a totally different market. First of all there are a lot more wealthy people willing to throw around big bucks. Secondly, if they are the only club in town that offers contact, they can charge a huge premium for that.
