Turning off e-mail notifications

Recommended Posts

Guest Ne**6*

Hi everyone,

I recently changed the settings in the user CP to stop receiving e-mail notifications. However, I'm still receiving some.

Can anyone clarify for me how to ensure I do not receive any e-mail notifications to my address?

Thanks

N

All I can see is:

>UserCP

>Edit Options

And then, in a frame with a grey background, you have two options of e-mail notification that you can check and uncheck. Make sure to disable both. You should be good after that.

Grasshopper, that's all I could find as well. I turned off any notifications to receive emails but I just got some yesterday to my email account...

You are probably still subscribed to threads you are receiving emails for.

CP option

go to Edit options

Messaging and Notification:

Default Thread Subscription Mode

When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.

Default Thread Subscription Mode:

Do not subscribe (drop down menu).

This turns off threads you are subscribed to. I also go into my "subscribed threads", and you have the option to receive emails instantly, daily, weekly etc. Turn that off if you are subscribed to any. You will see subscribed threads in your main page of OP (above your infraction notice lol)

The other issue is Receive email - receive email from administrators, friend requests - you can unclick those options.

When replying to a thread - at the bottom, it gives you the option in "thread subscription" - Drop down menu to "do not subscribe".

I hope this helps! xo
