Frequent number changes = Fake Ads?

I found in the past that when a sp phone number changed often but the ad stayed relatively the same across cities that this was often a fake ad.

 

It seems more recently pay-as-you-go, Internet numbers, disposable numbers are more frequent.

 

Is there a good reason for changing number often, or is it still likely an indicator of fake ads?
