Grass_Hopper 18263 Report post Posted June 13, 2016 I don't want to bash on any religion. With time, I have come to understand certain precepts of the Catholic religion (I've been raised by a Wiccan mother and a traditional Native father), and realized that those beliefs have nothing to do with religion, but it is a wonderful way to really scare people. To understand, we have to go back in time... Back in the early ages of religion, there was so many illness that were undetectable, not speaking about a cure... Lots of victims, in part due to sex-work. Back in the 1700s-1800s and at the beggining of 1900s. Society didn't have those structured medical cares we have today, and engaging in activity with a prostitute would mean getting infected almost everytime. Prostitutes were worste than fleas, and no way to control them. And the almighty Church came in. At the time, most decisions, if not all, had to be approve by the holy organiztion, and to get rid of the problem, they established a moral barrier (you'll go to Hell, prostitutes are witches, ...) to discourage hard working men from frequenting places such as brothels. Even if I don't approuve the means, the reason is... Well, reasonnable. We are now in 2016, and things have change. Can we ask the Federal government to keep up with society? Nowadays, as an escort, the main complaint I receive is the lack of intimacy my clients are suffering from, often due to a crazy life beat. Lots of PTSD too. Finally, pretty much all that can be related to stress. So, to the decision makers: Instead of holding me back without any reason, oppressing my dear clientele with lies, deception and entrapment, due to old beliefs dragged by a society who refuses to keep up with its time - and needs, why can't we be considered as functional members of society? As a mother would, I care; As a friend would, I listen; As I wife would, I love; And as a professional, I remain as safe as I can, and at the same time, protect my clients (healthwise and others...) As for what happens behind closed doors, can you keep your freaking laws out of my panties???
