With the cold November air comes...WINTER....

Well a new month is upon us! And with the cold November air comes...WINTER....

How I long to be a child again! To be looking forward to the silvery white drops of frozen rain fall to the ground, blanketing the earth in a sparkling white powder. To wake in the morning only anticipating the days long hard work of building a snow fort complete with snow angel guards in the back yard! This fort building is a tedious task! Complete with a giant snowball collection for the "war", any trespassers will pay fully! After the nose and cheeks are red from cold, there is nothing better then coming indoors, shaking the snow off the coat and stamping the hardened white stuff off my boots, all the while the smell of Hot Chocolate with marshmallows dances in the air! I look up from my watery mess to my mother scolding me lightly with a hot mug in one hand and a small plate of cookies in the other....ahhh the memories!

To read this it makes me wonder why I hate winter.....Do we really grow out of wanting to "play" in the snow? Sure we ski and partake in all kinds of sports but when was the last time you built a fort and threw snowballs all day and come back inside by the fire with hot chocolate? (perhaps spiked with Bailey's)

I find winter to be a heartwarming season. To me it is the most romantic time of year. The coldness makes you want to cuddle up close, The smells in the air warm you up inside and out!

My favourite thing to do on winter nights is spend time with someone drinking a glass of champagne, wearing nothing but a blanket...

My favourite activity is to make a snowman and go sledding!

What do you like to do in the Snow?
