AttilaDash 1000 Report post Posted August 28, 2016 I'm new to this. Why would one see and indy instead of agency escort?
dread pirate roberts 4036 Report post Posted August 29, 2016 I'm a bit reluctant to reply to this, given the way a recent thread on ensuring that providers are genuinely independent seemed to explode around itself. However... Some escorts are forced into it. I expect that the escorts who participate in discussions on Lyla are *not* coerced, and some of them are understandably sensitive when they perceive a comment here to be equivalent to "all escorts are being exploited". Of course, that is not true. That said, some women *are* trafficked, tricked into it, or otherwise pimped out - we just aren't terribly likely to see them participating on this board. It's not unreasonable for a client (or anyone else) to be concerned about the welfare of that vulnerable group. Some clients want to be certain that they only deal with escorts who have freely chosen their lifestyle, as opposed to having been coerced into it: seeing someone who is independent seems like it could be some kind of guarantee of that. It's not 100%, of course: people can be coerced by circumstances, for example. And the fact that someone is with an agency doesn't mean they were coerced - there are entirely provider-run agencies, there have been defenses on Lyla from escorts about the benefits and merits of particular agencies, and so on. Nonetheless, even though it is not a perfect method, in the current legal climate it's not outrageous (not the only reasonable position, not perfect, but not outrageous) to think that if you only meet with independent escorts, you are less likely to be personally engaging in exploitative behaviour.
conquistador 18487 Report post Posted August 29, 2016 My preference is Indy, you can deal with the girl directly. Can be easier just to set something up and once you get to know her, can text her for availability and such. Wth an agency you deal with another person first, then meet the girl. Whatever you're most comfortable with, go with.

I think you must have worded it a bit less confrontationally than I did :p I agree completely.
Guest I***An** Report post Posted September 8, 2016 I love being an indy because it means I have full control! I see who I want to see, and present myself the way I want to- the way I am! And work when I want to- so you can be sure that when you are seeing me, I'm the real deal and making all my choices myself! No flack on agency girls, everyone makes their own choices and having someone else do your screening and scheduling can be what they want! Agency girls also can be better for last minute, since indy's sometimes need to be booked since they aren't "on call" in the same way! <

Charlotte Edwards 8590 Report post Posted September 27, 2016 The gents that book me want to meet me personally, whether it's based on my website, reviews or Twitter personality. They want to book directly and not deal with a booking agent and start building the rapport between us right away. They may have questions or requests that they feel more comfortable talking directly to the SP and not a booker. They may want to prebook an appointment on a specific day and not wait for an agency schedule to pop up and "hope" the girl they want to see will be working the particular day they want. They may want to develop a semi regular relationship for convenience and familiarity as opposed to seeing new girls only once or twice from an agency's long roster. They may want to see that their pro photos and selfies match up. (Some agencies can do a little too much photoshopping to make all their ladies look like a similar style and size). They may want their donation to go entirely to the SP and not have 40% of it taken by the agency. They may want to see an Sp who has control over who she sees and might be less likely to be overworked or unhappy when you show up. They may want to see an SP that offers more exclusivity and sees less clients than providers who see a lot of clients each day. They may prefer to see a lady who is older than the common 19-23 year old age range that most agencies are predisposed to hire. Many many reasons. Personally if I was a man I would prefer to book an Indy and get to know them a little bit from their website or Twitter first before booking so it was a little more personal and intimate. I'm personally a little put off by the whole premise of calling up an agency and seeing who's available "right now" like they're ordering take out or something. spud271 47779 Report post Posted September 27, 2016 I couldn't care less if a woman is indy or works for an agency. If she's hot, I'll sleep with her! Simple and straight forward.
Exotic Touch Danielle 31728 Report post Posted September 27, 2016 I love to be independent...I wouldn't have it any other way! I answer my own phone, work my own hours, charge my own rates and it goes directly in my pocket not to an agency When I first started off years ago agency's were popular and I started off in one, didn't like it very much because I didn't have complete control over everything and half of my money's were going to them At least this way you and I can spend as much time together and it's just all about us
50 Shades Raven 31380 Report post Posted September 28, 2016 Being independent is definitely the way to go. Having the freedom to schedule your own hours, answer your own calls and gain a general feeling about the person booking is fabulous. I don't have to conform to what an agency wants and I definitely don't have to split what I earn. It's all mine :-) Being part of an agency means being what the agency wants you to be, you are not yourself. Having the ability to do what I want to do and when I want to do is the great attraction of being independent. A friend who worked for an agency said it was great. No having to take calls, not having to deal with transactions, always having work. But the downside was she was always on. She couldn't control where she was being sent to, and she had no idea who she was meeting. Also having to split what she was earning with the agency was just not worth it. After we talked, she decided to do her own ads, get her own number, and laid out her business plan for her rates and hours. For some, an agency can be great. But most of them want you to be within a certain age range and if you don't fit the 19-24 year old range you're out of luck. They also might want you to look a certain way. Having independence is work, but you are in control of every situation. From what you wear, to when you work to what your entertainment rates are. For me, having the freedoms far outweight the convenience of just being told where to show up.
