Mikeyboy 27133 Report post Posted November 30, 2016 Was in the Massachusetts many years ago with a lady friend. Passed a restaurant called 'The Clam Box'. Might have been the mood but I started laughing hysterically. She couldn't understad why. She had never heard either of those words used in that particular context. Not sure how. I actually had to explain to her why I found it so funny. ;)

Guest st*****ens**ors Report post Posted December 1, 2016 Wow. An education in metaphor! The nicest term I've heard used was "blossom." I'm fond of that one :)
waterat 20911 Report post Posted December 1, 2016 These metaphors put the bloom back on the rose.... As an avid paddler I'm rather taken by pink canoe. As a true Canadian I know the difference between a canoe and a canuck. Canoes tip. Even pink ones!

Kilt Boy 29353 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 A guy I once knew said something that always stuck with me. "I got to put on special tires for her. Don't want to get stuck in the mud." I think I know what he was talking about ...
waterat 20911 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 My mother related this anecdote to me. I'll suggest attribution to my great, great aunt, whomever...., Back in the days when a hot bath was a bit of a luxury my relatives used to, during a limited season, wash up in a shallow lake north of Kingston. My GG aunt is purported to have described the 'lake' bath as "washing up as far as possible, washing down as far as possible and then washing possible" I assume this applies to both genders, but anything is possible!

I believe its kinda like a takeout only version of the chicken burger here. next door was their sister ice cream establishment called 'Lick a Treat'.
