Taffer 2280 Report post Posted May 25, 2017 Typically when browsing ads on backpage, I'll use the "search google for images" feature by right clicking an image. Sometimes the image has nothing to do with escort ads, and in those cases you know it's at least 90% likely to be fake. Other times though the image will just pop up in many different places across Canada and the U.S., often with a different name in the ad. I've typically avoided these so far, because it doesn't seem likely that a girl would travel so often/far, and it's questionable why she would change her name unless she has a bad reputation. Is there something I'm missing here guys and gals? I'd hate to filter people out unfairly. What other red flags do fellow hobbyist's tend to look out for? SabrinaR 1868 Report post Posted May 25, 2017 Sounds like a travelling case of a bait and switch . During my journey as an MA, I have witnessed more then one fellow MA change their names but mainly due to confusion of having two MAs with the same alias name working for the same spa. I am proud to say that I have never changed my name once ! So I therefore come to the same theory as you lol
AveryMayhem 1050 Report post Posted May 25, 2017 Yeah, I would definitely be hesitant to see a girl that was listing under various names, different locations. Would by highly indicative of the bait-and-switch, as you say. I am an SP so come from a different perspective, but I think if an SP has a website they are less likely to be (as the rush song goes) "fly by night." I have seen horror stories posted about bait-and-switch and even worse would be the potential for trafficked girls... Use your gut instinct on that one! Guest Report post Posted May 25, 2017 Just a note? Why proud not to have changed name? There can be a lot of reason to change ? My first name was not of my choosing,I started with an agency and became indy when the pimp disappeared overnight so I learned on the fly,I was not even a sp 4 months and clueless...changing my name was not even something I was aware was possible. Also it was a time when sp were not using last name, when the trend to a last name I had friends changing their name and I thought I'll do ot too but that has nothing to do with misleading or scam... It doesn't have to be a bad thing. However it is common practice among a certain type of provider that builds a bad reputation, or runs a scam, and changes their name on the fly. As clients we have to weigh the cost/benefit of certain behaviors, and how visiting with sp's that behave in certain ways may pose a risk to our safety. What are some of the legitimate reasons for changing a name? It's difficult for me to understand the motivation to change it, as a good reputation is often tied to any particular name. Guest Report post Posted May 25, 2017 The reason I can think of are like I said when following the trend of two names,me I never liked mine and took the opportunity when my website provider went down and had to switch anyway to change it to a name I prefer. Another lady I know changed when she moved and her french name was difficult for anglophones to pronounce. You are right that multiples changes and allover the country name change are a red flags... And useless as the old names are tracked down, there are often thread devoted only to that on some sites.

Proud in the sense that I pride my MA name. It was my choice to name myself Sabrina :) However, in your defense, I agree.. If you had no say in the name you were given & it was chosen by an agency or "pimp" persay... id eventually , yes, like to disassociate myself from them once I've departed. Therefore I can understand the desire to change your SP name to a more suitable one for you.. whatever you chose :)
WhereIRoam 21825 Report post Posted June 5, 2017 Where the hits are can tell you something sometimes. If the hits are mostly in the southern States and all of sudden are in your area, that's likely a red flag. Me being in Ottawa, if the hits are mostly between Montreal and Winnipeg (maybe even Alberta cause some like to go there), that's not really a concern to me. If you really have the time, pop open those "caches" when doing research, if any dates overlap don't do it. Potentially fakes. I currently sometimes see an SP who, prior to just a few months ago, only used fake pics for confidentiality reasons but she is beautiful that when she opened the door punters would not want to leave even though they realized the pics were fake. Note, such is not always the case with SPs who use fake pics. I TOFTT more than half my visits and have met some who use a phone app in different cities to keep phone costs down(gives them local numbers). I have also met those who don't use such a phone app but change their name in different cities, that way when they get a text like, "Hi Lisa..." or "Hi Brandy..." they know which city that punter might be texting from(that's not where that SP currently is). If the name they receive on text doesn't match the current one they are using why reply for cost of it and the time saved. Obviously a well established escort wouldn't change her name because it is known. Also, not all SPs are well established but that doesn't make them any less worthy of a visit, IMO. If you TOFTT you need to do a fair amount of and thorough research. The safer your chances will be by doing so. In the end you're really just taking an extra 5 to 10 min max, worth it if you enjoy a TOFTT.
