So many fake pics...was it always like this?

I'm not that active on here or even as a hobbyist , but I do appreciate being able to confirm that a MA/SP is indeed using false images. Most recently, I've discovered that there is a SP working out of Bells Corners, Best western who goes by the name ANIA.

I was just looking at that ad and remarked that she looked a lot like Angela White, LOL.

 

Searched the name in the ad, and it brought me here. Guess I was closer to the mark than I even knew. Way too good to be true!

BP has always been shady. Why not just stick with well reviewed women here rather than spending so much of your time trying to figure out who is fake on your witch hunt.

Simple answer, YES. And nothing will change until everything surrounding the trade is decriminalized and no longer taboo.

 

The problem predates the internet. A few decades ago I visited peepshows/bordellos in Montreal and Europe with pictures of the performers. They all looked like models/pornstars, but once inside, they all looked very different. In that era, most would find SP's in newspaper ads. Sometimes the number would allow to talk directly to her and get an honest description. But too often you ended up with a procurer trying to meet demands with who's available. Meaning, lots of lies and exaggerations.

 

Things are not so different today. Procurers want to sell and many SP's want to protect their privacy for obvious reasons. As I mentioned in another thread on the subject, no pictures is better than fake pictures. And when talking on the phone you can ask if the pictures are real and if she posted them.

 

Having dealt a long time with short descriptions on the phone, I see pictures as bonuses and not essential. And as long it remains in the grey areas of the law, things won't change. Do your homework, report abuse and don't support/enable bad practices. Be part of the solution and support honest working girls.

I don't really agree with the "shady" comment. BP is one of the few free classifieds website still allowing SP's to advertise openly. CL and Kijiji "banned" those years ago while allowing a bit of flexibility in the therapeutic sections. With more content, BP obviously got more questionnable ads. It's not their fault, it's just simple math.

 

But I agree on the rest.

The reason it's still happening is because some men will see the person at the door and just think that while they don't quite look like that person or maybe not at all, they are still attractive according to their standards and are horny, they will stay. This will stop when men won't tolerate it anymore. They do it because they get can get away with it because men are letting it happen.

 

However it seems in the last few years, BP is one stop shop and not a lot of people care to do research anymore. In the past, reviews boards were huge. Not so much anymore. BP quick shopping is the trend until something else takes it place. Everything evolves.

 

Since BP, the standards have gone down when everyone and their mother can throw up an ad, get a room and use fake pictures especially when someone else is the driving force behind it all. Hobbyists who have been around long enough will tell you the same thing. Situations and circumstances vary with all these ads and with fake pictures that look too good to be true, they usually are.

BP is definitely not free if you want your ad at the top of the list. I can't remember the last time I advertised on BP but a few years ago, some escort ads were at the $10-12 mark prior to their credit card fiasco.

If the extras are worth it, who am I to judge. But BP will not evolve for the best. Since January 2017, BP banned their Adult section in the U.S. and SP's now use the Dating and Massage sections to advertise. It's a question of time before the same happens in Canada and to eventually see the Dating section disappear completely. Meaning SP's will now use the therapeutic related categories to sell their services like they currently do on CL and Kijiji. BP is not really worst, it's simply not as hypocritical.

I can't talk for every men here. But my leniency will depend on the short conversation before the meeting. If she comes clean and sell me a good reason why her or her procurer used fake pics, I can live with it. But if she double down on it and I see a different person at the door, my level of tolerance will be inexistant. I can understand why someone would protect their privacy and not be fully in control of how a procurer market her, but no pic and an honest description will always remain the best alternative.
