north of 249 Report post Posted October 18, 2017 So I've read a couple of posts on NLA now with regards to police sting operations and was wondering if anyone knows anymore info about this? From what I understand, SP's are legally allowed to operate, it's just illegal to purchase services from them.. so the SP's who were approached are safe from legal repercussions but are there any efforts being made to apprehend the people using these services? Or are these efforts just being made to ensure the fine ladies of the city in this profession are safe?

echip 1050 Report post Posted October 19, 2017 Whatever you do, do not admit anything to the police if you are questioned. Ask them if you are under arrest and if you are not state that you prefer to leave. If they do arrest you for whatever reason, go silent and request a lawyer. There is nothing illegal about paying for a backrub from a girl, and unless you confess your intentions they have no way of knowing why you are visiting the girl in the first place (assuming the girl isn't a cop or working with them, of course). Fucking pigs have nothing better to do apparently.
fortunateone 156618 Report post Posted October 19, 2017 this is a little more info http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/newfoundland-labrador/shop-wants-operation-northern-spotlight-to-end-1.4356772 the 'sting' is now over, and after 'interviewing' over 320 sps who they considered, for whatever messed up reasons reading into their ads, were 'at risk', they found 8, 2 of whom were under 18. which is not to say the under 18s considered themselves at risk or coerced/trafficked, just that the cops are allowed to stop them from working. the other 6? no idea, we are simply to assume they asked for help to 'exit' i guess
north of 249 Report post Posted October 19, 2017 Thanks for the good input and feedback everyone, it definitely seems like these sort of 'operations' have a negative impact on the industry.
