drlove 37204 Report post Posted March 22, 2018 I always try to look on the bright side of things as much as possible. That said, at least they're willing to have a dialogue about sex work, and appear to be open to the possibility of repealing C-36 and thereby moving toward decriminalization. It's my sincere hope that should this go forward, the government will ask for and heed input from sex workers in crafting new legislation with a view toward increased safety and autonomy for all persons involved in this industry. waterat 20911 Report post Posted March 22, 2018 Just listened to this interview with Chris Bruckert from U Ottawa. Some interesting results from her team's research and yet another reason to ensure Bill C-36 in revoked: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/sex-workers-pimps-ottawa-1.4575506
drlove 37204 Report post Posted March 23, 2018 Does anyone know if there's been any recent updates on the London Ontario court case regarding a constitutional challenge of Canada's prostitution laws? When I do a search, all I can find are news articles from February and the early part of March.
