A hacker broke into the online dating website Plenty of Fish last week, successfully exporting hundreds of accounts.

Markus Frind, CEO of the Vancouver-based company, said Monday all passwords have been reset since the Jan. 18 security breach.

He also said all account users have been contacted.

However, in a blog post Monday, he acknowledged 345 accounts were successfully exported.

Steffani Cameron has had an account with Plenty of Fish for four years. She plans to delete her account because she doesn't trust the company's security measures.

"When I was getting my weekly customer care email, they were saying, 'You've got more matches and here is your password.' Anybody who sends passwords unencrypted in plain text in an email has some serious issues with understanding what security really means," she said.

Approximately 28 million people have logged onto the Plenty of Fish website since its inception. It is a free service.
