[/FONT][FONT=Franklin Gothic Book]SEP will support the greater involvement of [COLOR=windowtext][B]Shift[/B][/COLOR] clients in [COLOR=windowtext][B]Shift[/B][/COLOR] Calgary, offer the opportunity to increase the voice of those involved in sex work, enable [COLOR=windowtext][B]Shift[/B][/COLOR] clients an opportunity to develop skills and leadership, as well as educate the wider community on issues surrounding sex work. [COLOR=windowtext][B]Shift[/B][/COLOR] acknowledges that the participation of those directly involved in sex work will help reduce stigma and discrimination associated with sex work, which is a powerful tool for breaking down the barriers of fear and prejudice. We want you to feel engaged in [COLOR=windowtext][B]Shift[/B][/COLOR] Calgary and have the opportunity to become a leader. [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]

[/FONT][FONT=Franklin Gothic Book]What is SEP? [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]

[/FONT][FONT=Franklin Gothic Book]Through SEP, [COLOR=windowtext][B]Shift[/B][/COLOR] clients can contribute their time, skills and expertise in one or more of the following position for which they will receive an honorarium.[/FONT][FONT=Verdana]

[/FONT][FONT=Franklin Gothic Book]At this time there are four positions available in which registered [COLOR=windowtext][B]Shift[/B][/COLOR] clients can apply. [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]

[/FONT][FONT=Franklin Gothic Book]* Become a Blog Writer and write an article about personal experiences or current issues related to sex work for the [COLOR=windowtext][B]Shift[/B][/COLOR] Blog and other agency communications.[/FONT][FONT=Verdana]

[/FONT][FONT=Franklin Gothic Book]* Become a speaker for [COLOR=windowtext][B]Shift[/B][/COLOR]! [COLOR=windowtext][B]Shift[/B][/COLOR] speakers will provide the opportunity for past or current sex workers to share their story at educational workshops offered by [COLOR=windowtext][B]Shift[/B][/COLOR] called Shifting Perspectives or other events. [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]

[/FONT][FONT=Franklin Gothic Book]* As a Social Event Planner you will be responsible for creating social events that cater to the interests of other [COLOR=windowtext][B]Shift[/B][/COLOR] clients.[/FONT][FONT=Verdana]

[/FONT][FONT=Franklin Gothic Book]* International Sex Workersâ?? Rights Day Committee members will be a part of a committee that plans and implements an event for International Sex Workersâ?? Rights Day, held in the month of March. [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]

[/FONT][FONT=Franklin Gothic Book]How do you become a [COLOR=windowtext][B]Shift[/B][/COLOR] client? [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]
[/FONT][FONT=Franklin Gothic Book]Call or email [COLOR=windowtext][B]Shift[/B][/COLOR] Calgary to schedule a simple intake. The only eligibility is that you are either currently or have been involved in sex work and reside in Calgary. [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]

Our [COLOR=windowtext][B]program[/B][/COLOR] is not exit based; therefore exiting is not a requirement to access our services. We recognize that for many, sex work is a choice.
