Windsorâ??s infamous phallic sculptor has struck again.
Someone has trimmed a public bush into the shape of penis on Windsorâ??s riverfront.
Itâ??s the second time this month that a bush near the Odette Sculpture Gardens had changed shape.
In October, City staff said vandals were responsible for trimming a shrub to look like a phallic symbol on the waterfront. Workers moved quickly to fix that three-metre tall shrub.
Now, a smaller shrub next to the first one has been reshaped.
"I do see a penis head, for sure. I don't about the bottom part, though," said Jay Baderski, who was in the park Wednesday.
Two crews from the city's parks department stopped by the shrub Wednesday but never made any changes.
"This bush will stay as is," said John Micelli, the city's director of parks and facilities.
Artist Chloe Deroy, appreciates the work.
"I think it's hilarious, but artists don't really have that much of a filter when it comes to nudity," she said.
For the second time, Jimmy Kimmel Live! picked up on the story about the "mystery botanist."
He called the latest work "a triumph of tenacity."
"It's always a shame when governments repress artistic expression," Kimmel said on his ABC late night show.
Micelli said all the attention may not be a bad thing.
"The sculpture garden is getting all kinds of attention, and the bushes in the sculpture garden are getting all kinds of attention," he said. "It's a good thing. Hopefully people will visit our sculpture garden more often and take a look for yourself."
