Rob Ford arrives in L.A., greeted by Jimmy Kimmel

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has arrived in L.A. and was greeted at LAX airport by comedian and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, confirming earlier rumours he was headed to the late night show.
Fordâ??s spokesman Amin Massoudi tweeted a photo of Ford, his brother Randy and Kimmel shortly before 8 p.m. tonight. Ford himself also tweeted his arrival.
Ford will appear on Kimmel's show Monday night.
Earlier Saturday the mayor told the Toronto Sun's Joe Warmington that he would be attending the Academy Awards on Sunday.
The mayor is reportedly there to appear on the Jimmy Kimmel show Monday night as well as attend the Academy Awards.

Images of Ford along with brother Randy meeting Kimmel pretty much confirmed the former, but that confirmation only made the possibility of Toronto's controversial mayor attending the Oscars seem all the more likely.

The news was met by shock, derision and a lot of sarcasm.
