bigfishEast 100 Report post Posted February 24, 2011 Went there last Saturday night after 6 years and it was quiet with hardly any action, the ladies were not pushing the CR at all, plus the quality was lacking. This place used to rock, what are the good nights? or is the place not popular any more?

Megan'sTouch 23875 Report post Posted February 25, 2011 Does Caroline or Bobbie still dance their - great ladies. Caroline is a good friend of mine. Last time we spoke, she was working at Bare Fax. She left Nu Den same time as me. Was Bobbie a very young, half-Black half-White woman? I believe I actually introduced her to the Nu Den. I know her real name, but I've forgotten her dancer name. If that is her, she's no longer in Ottawa, as far as I know. (EDIT - Nevermind I think her name was actually Billy)

Additional Comments: Caroline is a good friend of mine. Last time we spoke' date=' she was working at Bare Fax. She still is. Was Bobbie a very young, half-Black half-White woman? Guest Bri*****e Da**** Report post Posted February 25, 2011 I last worked at the Den in November and found that it was getting much quieter but there tended to be quite a few girls working at any given time. The renovations they've done to the place are stellar though, I loved the new champagne room they'd made downstairs! I've found that a lot of girls have migrated over to Barb's though, so it's a bit of a shame that the new champagne room won't be getting as much action as it should be getting. bigfishEast 100 Report post Posted February 25, 2011 agreed the place looks great and i love the club chairs. the location is perfect for me (close to home) so i'll keep visiting and support the local girls.
Guest **n****er Report post Posted February 25, 2011 I stopped going all together almost a year ago. The renos are nice but cr seating is far too close together. Posted via Mobile Device

blumantru 661 Report post Posted February 26, 2011 The new cr is nice and the seating in and out of the cr are the best in town but the cr itself is like a scene from Enter the Dragon. The club is nice but the number of ladies there has been ona steady decline. That is the main reason I have stopped going there. Good luck to them with their new club/restaurant but I would not be putting any money on it. Posted via Mobile Device
Juice 2105 Report post Posted February 26, 2011 What a bizarre and disappointing result from a business standpoint -- sink a ton of money into fancy renovations and then the place empties out! Ha, glad I don't own that place or I would be wringing my hands!
serenitynow 120 Report post Posted February 26, 2011 Caroline is a very good looking, intelligent woman. Very nice smile and a great personality. I do enjoy seeing her from time to time.
jdstar 1065 Report post Posted March 15, 2011 I hadn't been in a strip club for at least five years, until the other day when an out of town business associate asked me to meet him at the NuDen. I didn't stay long, maybe an hour, but I was very impressed with the surroundings. It seemed really well furnished, totally clean and had a very upscale feel. I'm definitely out of touch - I was expecting a much sleazier feel, but it just seemed like a fine place for a couple of business guys to get together. Cold beer, pretty women, nice atmosphere. I almost felt like I should tell my wife about it, but I didn't go that far. Is this the new norm in strip clubs?
curious2 323 Report post Posted March 16, 2011 No, it's definitely not the new norm. The Nuden is by far the nicest club on the Ottawa side of the river. I don't think the Barefax has done any renovations in the 25 years that I've been going there. Barbarella's always surprises me by how much of a dump it is (the washrooms especially). justsayin 100 Report post Posted May 5, 2011 Stopped in there for lunch the other day..I have to say the food was very good there as well !!
ulixestrojan 3757 Report post Posted May 5, 2011 The NuDen is my "normal" go-to club. Easy to find, easy to park, close to work and on the way to the airport from the East end. I always have a good time. The beer is cold. The girls are hot. The dance is on my lap.
Megan'sTouch 23875 Report post Posted July 12, 2011 Jazy, I totally agree with you about management. They used to be awesome, but when the new staff was hired everything went to hell. I danced there for 2 years and loved it, but left after being treated shitty one too many times.

Capital Hunter 18263 Report post Posted July 12, 2011 NuDen was never my favorite even during the 2001 to 2008 when I was going to strip bars two-three times a week. The large place never felt like a cozy party like environment that I preferred. Not to mention the open CRs where you paid for private dance but never could get one (even when private CR was permitted at other bars before 2009, it was open at NuDen!!!). And if you run out of cash you can't even watch the stage and enjoy ladies on stage unless you have a telescope with you lol (likely not allowed) as the stage is so high up..... I was there may be 10 times between 2001 and 2008 as opposed to over 1000 times which I must have been to Barbs and Playmates and Taboo lol. I remember once I was in the CR with a lovely young girl and she was kissing me on lips (and of course I was kissing back) and the bouncer walked in and he was very rude to the young lady (at least if he was rude to me I would have let him have it but I stayed quiet as I didn't want the young lady in more trouble). I stayed away for a couple of years until last year I went back a couple of times to see my all time favorite blonde, Foxy (but she was on leave as she was pregnant) however when I heard that they are treating their ladies badlly I boycotted the place until further notice (until they change management). This was the second strip bar I was boycotting for the same reason (Cabaret Canada is the other, I boycotted in 2005). I think that it is our (hobbyists') obligation and responsibiliy to boycott those bars and escort agencies who are treating their ladies badly. We don't need these weeds in this industry lol. Guest S****an Report post Posted July 12, 2011 It's hard to know what makes a club hot or not - so many variables. One factor that keeps me from spending more time there is that while a lot of the ladies I've met at the Den over the years are very nice, I've never really "clicked" with any of them and don't have the slightest clue why. Maybe the size of the club makes it less personal; just a guess. On a lighter note (pun intended), the CRs are too dark. Some days I couldn't pick the girl the who danced for me out of a lineup, it's so dark. Come to think of it, I wouldn't swear for sure that it was actually a girl lol.
