Rocker 1106 Report post Posted January 2, 2019 If we lived in a perfect world, which included the world of hobbyists and SP's, there would not be a need for assurances that it's safe for both. So we navigate the perils with whatever tools are available which include LYLA, image search etc. But quite frankly, without the help of reco's and SP's such as Katie or Megan and a few others who participate here, it is pretty much a stumble in the dark - with most posts consisting of “Anybody see her?” And the only replies being “I'm interested too”. Then the tread dies. I feel reassured when I see SP's advertising on this forum, but just a fraction do as compared to Leolist. Now I appreciate the fact that not all SP's want a recommendation written for them for whatever reason, and not every hobbyist is up to providing one. In addition, one man's treasure can be another man's turn-off. Wouldn't it at least be nice if we knew that all the SP's on Leolist were real and not some scam? Hobbyists get screened by some SP's by asking for references from another provider. And more power to them. Hobbyists don't know each other - with the exception of the anonymity of this board. And the only option available is info that is gleaned here. So in a perfect world, wouldn't it be nice if there was a section on Lyla called “Verified”. Not good. Nor bad. Just verified as a legitimate SP. Any thoughts?
Guest Report post Posted January 2, 2019 LYLA already contains the "VERIFIED INDEPENDENT" designation for ladys who answer the required criteria. Obviously this is for members. If an SP from LL or elsewhere doesn't want to register here, I don't think it's LYLA's role to promote her. There no perfect system. But when someone has solid recommendations from many long time members, it should be considered quite safe. Have a nice day.
Rocker 1106 Report post Posted January 2, 2019 Tks GT - And in what forum would I find this? I did a search on “verified” and I get 900+ posts where the word is used...
Guest Report post Posted January 2, 2019 The designation "Verified Independant" is written under the nickname and avatar of ladys already members here. Many who actively participate here, don't even bother getting the rank as they already got a solid reputation. But for ladies who simply want a place to advertise, the designation is there if she wants and has proper recommendations. But as mentioned, this is for LYLA members and not for ladies looking for advertisement without bothering to register here.
Meaghan McLeod 179664 Report post Posted January 2, 2019 (edited) To achieve "verified independent " on lyla, there are specific requirements needed. Either another independent provider voucher for her, she has posted a minimum 50 posts, or an ad on escort canada. However, just because she is not verified on this site, does not mean she is not legit. Many of my girlfriends I know are not verified. However I know they are legit. So, don't use this as your only method of screening. Use the recommendations section. Google images and numbers. I am seeing many fake providers who change numbers and names as soon as someone posts about them. So, many of these threads are about the same person. That's why the threads die. As frustrating as this is, because many guys want to see a new provider, who has no history, this will continue to be a problem, as the real scammers know this. So, it's important to realize this when going to see someone who has no history. So, use all of the tools available to you. They are there, you just need to use them. Yes, I am verified independent it just doesn't show under my name. So you would have to look on my profile to see this. Good luck! Guest Report post Posted January 2, 2019 After a bit of digging I found this 18 month old thread about a member who took upon himself to create a long "Real/Fake" list of SP's in the Kingston area. Even if he put a lot of his personal time creating this list, he received a lot of criticism for not mentioning some providers. Many didn't understood the insane amount of work to create such a list and took it a bit too seriously. The thread died relatively quickly. While we can view this as a failure, it should be a reminder of the responsibility of providers to create their own positive image. It's not to LYLA and it's member to promote someone who doesn't want to join the board.
ShyGuy81 590 Report post Posted January 2, 2019 In addition to using Tineye and Google image searches to identify fakes, I screen providers by paying attention to the forums here and frequently reviewing LL (and BP previously) for my area. I take my time and try not to be distracted by the latest ad with the snazzy pics and start from a place of being skeptical and assuming an ad is fake until proven otherwise. By doing this I have learned which providers this community has had positive experiences with and am able to match that up with ads on LL. I have found that after some time I've been able to develop a sense of which ads are probably fake and which ones probably aren't. Then I can use the information gleaned from Lyla to make a decision to reach out to a particular lady. I have no risk tolerance for any breach (or potential breach) of my privacy so I rely heavily on the recommendation section to be sure that the provider is at least legit. I believe that staying safe in this lifestyle requires some time commitment to stay up to date on the local providers. I think it could be quite risky to simply look at LL after an interval of a few weeks and try to determine which ads are legit and which are scams/fake pics, etc. It took some time to develop a level of comfort but with a regular review of the relevant sites I've been able to stay safe thus far. Good luck!
katie 1337 Report post Posted January 3, 2019 There is "Homework" on both sides, that can be done. Weather your an "Sp or Hobbyiest", I think some homework should be done, to "Ensure Safety"... Just My Opinion... Katie xoxo's 👄
