We all have a name well actually in our case we have two, the real name and the one we use on cerb. I've found in both how someone chooses to call me makes a difference and this topic was brought up to me by someone else recently so I decided to hear from everyone here if they have a preference when it comes to their name.

 

For example, my dad has this peculiar variation of my name which is how they used to call me when I was a kid and I honestly hate it and get annoyed when someone calls me that but when my dad does he even puts a smile on my face.

 

Now as for Isabella Gia, I rarely get called both names by anyone. Some call me Isa, Issy or Gia and I personally feel good that a particular person calls me a particular way and feel strange when he/she calls me different.

 

How you people like to be called? Of course I'm asking about the name you use for cerb. Do you have any preferences and if you do, does it vary depending on who is calling you that?

 

Oh, one more thing. It would be interesting to read how those whose handle does not include a person's name like to be called.

I have always tended to call you Bella...that's how I perceive you :)

My name is pretty short (both my cerb and real name) so they can't be shortened. A couple of people call me Megs...makes me smile :)

So far i've noticed people have shortened my long ass name to SNMD or just Surf.

 

I'm fine with pretty much anything really.

 

As far as my real name, I hate being called by my full name and will correct people when they call me by it. Except family, they call me whatever they want no matter how I feel about it... Jerks :p

Well, a very friendly member of cerb started a variation on my handle; Mister Tea.... Now if i could remember who that was...;-).

 

My handle is also getting nicknames (always bringing a smile) but i will let people guess...

 

It's also been shortened to MrT in chat (makes it easier to type and sounds the same).

I am in the same situation as Meg. Both my cerb and real names are pretty short. I only get annoyed when someone tries to lengthen my name. I just don't get why some people would do that.

I get called Ang or Angie sometimes. As long as you don't use the "c" word, I don't really care what you call me.

I sign mine RG, obviously short for roamingguy...please don't ask me how I got it, I picked it out pre cerb times for my email account, and don't remember why I picked that name.

I also have some fishing nicknames, but won't say here

In private communications, I'll sign with my real first name

And when requested by a lady I wish to see, she'll get my full name

And mrnice2, keep your name, nice is underrated in today's society...but around here at least, it's a very good quality, along with being a gentleman

As I have often said my real name is Steve so I don't really have "another name." I decided to keep my real name so that when I speak with people here on Cerb I still have that feeling that they are talking to Steve and not "Annonymous Cerb Handle Guy." Of course this is only my preference and I expect no one else to follow my choice(s).

 

Having said all of that I have been called every variation of Steve known to mankind. All of them I detest! Some of my least favorites are Stevie, Steve-o, Stevie-boy, etc. So when you talk to me here on Cerb you are actually talking to Steve.

Generally I'm referred to as WildTiger or WT. Although, I have had some messages where the lady has had fun making animal references or sexual innuendos based on being wild or a tiger (I know, scandalous in such a conservative environment as this!!). But that's all good fun and puts a smile on my face.

 

For those that get to know me and ask the right questions I am happy to provide background to my choice of handle. But only those that I'm comfortable with as the history relates to my career.

 

Once I have established some sort of communication or relationship I provide my first name, and once upon request my full name.

Most people call me Nicki because I've made it a point for others to call me that by using it in my ads.However, everyone always manages to spell it differently.lol. It came about one day when I was looking for something clever to use in my ads and the name Naughty* Nicki came to the surface. Nicolette sounds classy but a bit too long. I've also been called Nicole several times.

I was previously known here as T'storm and changed my name just late last year because some thought I was TS and I did not like that, I did not mind T or storm.

Fast forward to today I'm known here as NotchJohnson or NJ for short is good or even just Notch I'll take that any day. I've been called the ETP kid (Eat The Pussy). And also been called "Horse" by an Asian girl, even though I told her that I couldn't run fast. Don't know why she did call me that?

I am always asked if Varoushka is my real family name. Well, it is not, hahah. I used this word because of the translation from Russain. It translates to simple beauty. To tell you the truth, it is my favorite color of lipstick from Aveda, varoushka red, and just sounds sexy!!
