Guest e**m***h Report post Posted April 28, 2011 For those of you who are historically inclined today is the first day of an old Roman festival celebrating Floralia, the goddess of flowers, running until May 3. Apparently, there is a school of thought that she was a human courtesan who turned into a goddess (pretty cool). So if we were old Romans we would be doing lots of naked theater and throwing beans around for fertility - and lots of CERB kinds of connecting, sponsored by the state! Just imagine. Perhaps we should get Cato as the most prominent of old Romans on here to sponsor the games for next year?
