Cowboy kenny 50799 Report post Posted April 30, 2011 Hey tablet owners if you get a chance over the next few days check out the diary on your tablet device for an app like browser experience, including gestures. I've been tinkering with new look for the diary and got side tracked with this project. It's far from perfect and at times frustrating as some functionality is missing or broken, for example the avoid list will not display and some images don't want to load, and for the time being you can't turn the app experience off. It works best with your tablets default os browser, not so much with third party browsers for the time being. Anyhow I'll leave the app experience up for few days if you have a chance to give it a look see and let me know what you think, the feedback is much appreciated. If you don't have a tablet device your browsing should be uninterrupted.
Guest Ou**or**n Report post Posted April 30, 2011 Totally not working for me on an iPad 2 using Safari. When I enter the site I get an 'Authentication Required' popup and the window fills automatically with the keyboard. Hit cancel and a progress kind of bar comes up but nothing ever loads. The menu drops down but if you choose an option you get thrown back to the 'Authentication Required' popup. Promising idea - let us know when these kinks are worked out so we can try again. Cowboy kenny 50799 Report post Posted April 30, 2011 Thanks OFF, the authentication thing is annoying but solved by clearing the cache, however many other issues exist. I've tried it out on my first gen Ipad and a bb playbook, and for the most part things worked, but the "app" engine is flawed. I think I'll be taking it offline for the time being as I read more about the problems with this plugin that other developers are experiencing. Technology, got to love it, right ?! Guest ***ky12*** Report post Posted April 30, 2011 I'm looking at it on my iPhone 4 but I don't notice a difference. Do you have an app in the app store or just a mobie version for the site?

Cowboy kenny 50799 Report post Posted May 1, 2011 Rocky it should have worked on the iphone, I've removed the feature as i was obviously overly confident in its ability. I will continue to work with the application and tinker in the background. Tablet type devices aren't going anywhere anytime soon and will continue to develop and become integral to our everyday tasks. The physical keyboard i'm typing this message on right now will very soon become an museum piece in no time ! Kubrick, thanks for the kudos although I question being feerless much less a leader :) Cheers, CK
