RobX 2084 Report post Posted May 6, 2011 My experience hobbying has been almost entirely visting massage salons and indy MAs. I have seen just one outcall SP, which was quite awhile ago. Based on this experience, there seems to me to be a world of difference in the logistics of an incall massage session versus an appointment with an outcall SP. For a massage session, after reading the reviews and making your selection, you simply check the salon or indy's online schedule, email or phone for an appointment, and you're all set. However, seeing an outcall SP seems to be a lot more complicated. You have to first get a hobby cell phone, make the appointment with the SP or agency, find a hotel that does not require ID, and which is within the area the SP will travel to without requiring a travel premium, check the SP's website for her preferred refreshments and gift suggestions ("Gifts are never required but always appreciated"), buy the gift, refreshments and mood music CDs, book the hotel 45 minutes before the appointment to allow time to shower and prepare the room (bring extra cash in case the hotel requires a cash deposit if you don't want to show your credit card), call the SP with the room number, prepare the room - bathroom, music, refreshments, envelope and lights, wait for the SP's call announcing that she is just around the corner or stuck in traffic, and be prepared to extend the room by another hour depending on how late she will be, and finally, be prepared for surprises - the hotel is fully booked, there is a problem with the room, the SP cancels after you have paid for the room, etc. I was acutely aware of the logistical complexity of arranging an outcall SP session and planned accordinglly for my first outcall SP session. However, this did not prevent my first and only SP outcall experience, so far, from turning into a total logistical disaster. After doing my research and selecting an SP, I wanted to book in advance, so one Thursday I emailed the SP I had selected, in order to make preliminary enquiries, explaining that the best day and time for an appointment for me was on a Friday at 7 PM. She emailed me back that evening indicating that she was available at 7 PM the next day. She provided her contact info and asked me the name of the hotel and indicated that I should call her once I arrived to give her the room number. I was not actually available the next day, and had in mind the Friday of the coming week. So I emailed her back, explaining this. However, because of the affirmative tone of her original email, it felt to me like I was effectively cancelling our first appointment. Anyways, she was out of town the next week, so we set an appointment date in two weeks. Several days before our appointment I came down with a cold and had to cancel. I apologized in my email. This was now my second cancellation. We set another appointment for two weeks from then. When the time for the appointment arrived, I was about to leave work when I was asked to work late because of a problem at work. Normally, I would have stayed and worked overtime, and postponed the appointment, but I felt that if I cancelled for the third time I might have been blacklisted by her. I therefore told work I had an important engagement and couldn't stay. They then had to call in my colleague. who was actually on call that week, but had already left for the day. On my way to the appointment this really played on my mind. It just seemed wrong for someone else to have to come in to work on a Friday night, even though it was actually his turn to be on call, just so that I could go see an escort! I arrived at the hotel with all of this on my mind. When checking in, the desk clerk at first refuses to check me in unless I show him ID. He had me worried for awhile, but finally he agrees to check me in after I give him a license plate number that I made up. Once in the room I call the SP to give her the room number and I start getting ready. I put on one of the mood music CDs I had brought along, but the CD player doesn't want to play. So I call the front desk and they send someone to have a look. He checks out the player and then tells me that it is broken and he offers me another room. At this point I'm thinking to myself that this is really getting ridiculous! Is this bad Karma or what? It seems to be taking quite a while for them to find me another room and we are getting close to the time for the appointment. I can't call her with the new room number because thay haven't given me the number yet. At this point I start imagining all kinds of disastrous scenarios with her arriving right in the middle of the room switch. So I call the front desk and tell them that I will keep the room and will forgo the music, all the while hoping that there is not a mix-up in communication, and that we end up having someone knocking on the door in the middle of our session. At this point I am pretty well freaked out! It is my first time with an SP, which is stressful enough to begin with, but after all what had happened I was totally stressed out. I am a very reserved person, and I become even more reserved when under stress. At this point I had pretty well shut down! In fact, the session itself seems somewhat of a blur. I forgot to serve her drinks at the beginning of the appointment. I had a SSOG on the first service. Afterwards, she offered to give me a massage (she must have sensed my stress), and much of the session was spent with her massaging me. After this disaster, I had planned to set up another outcall appointment, to get back up on the horse, as they say. But I have never done so, and probably have developed somewhat of an aversion to outcall appointments. Also, the fact that some of the MAs I see provide very liberal services means there is less of an incentive for me to have to consider seeing outcall SPs. However, I recently found out that one one my ATF MAs is now an outcall SP, and this has gotten me thinking about outcall SP appointments once again. Therefore, my question to veteran outcall hobbyists is: Are outcall SP sessions generally more prone to potential problems just because of their greater logistical complexity, or was I just extremely unlucky during my first outcall experience? SamanthaEvans 166767 Report post Posted May 6, 2011 Rob, I recognize that you've addressed your query to other men, but I'm going to poke my nose in anyway. If setting up a meeting with a companion causes you so much stress, you might consider doing an incall appointment instead. Let your companionhandle the hassle of providing the place. You can arrive with whatever extras you want to bring with you. If something happens and you need to re-book the meeting, consider sending her a tip to compensate for the inconvenience of cancelling close to the meeting time. And... one more thing. You'll find that, by and large, the most reputable and experienced companions will not meet in a hotel with the poor security arrangements you've described in your post. I can't think of any 4 or 5-star hotel in Toronto or Vancouver that would let anyone take a room without a credit card for security. A place that will accept a made-up auto license plate number is an ideal crime scene, from my point of view, and not an appropriate place for the kind of intimate rendez-vous most of us provide. Just saying.... :icon_wink:
sandimoon 72517 Report post Posted May 6, 2011 Another lady weighing in Rob I hope you don`t mind. Firstly, I must say it is a testament to your character that you try so hard to make a lady enjoy herself by choosing gifts, drinks, music, etc that she would appreciate. It is however in sharp contrast to your expectation that a classy lady should visit you in a hotel with such lax security. The only hotels I know of in Vancouver that would accept cash for I.D. & a false plate they did not check are SRO slums. Sketchy at best & I wouldn`t get past the front door much less climb into a bed there. I worked for an outcall agency & I have been to the Westin, Hilton, Fairmont & Four Seasons hotels with no problems whatsoever. The staff are discreet, professional & honestly don`t care what you do. A well chosen companion should never stand out anyhow as your privacy & comfort should be at the top of her list of concerns. However only AFTER her safety. I still do home & hotel visits as an Independent with no problems. So my advice Rob is to slooooow dooooown. I think you just over thought & over planned yourself into a panic attack. Relax. It should be a fun experience not a cause for stress. If privacy is of such paramount concern I must concur with Samantha & suggest you choose a lady with her own place. It will relieve you of the logistical responsibilities other than getting there and having a nice time. Good luck, Sandi
roamingguy 300292 Report post Posted May 6, 2011 As a guy who prefers outcalls to a hotel, couple comments, not judging. First, why worried about ID/Credit Card for checking in. A hotel's business is providing rooms for people. There isn't a big red tattoo on your forehead saying hobbiest LOL. Just check in as it is a routine matter of action...they aren't going to haunt you buy saying you stayed with them, not to mention most hotels have privacy policies in place Second. The credit card matter seems to cause some people concern...it shouldn't. I have checked with quite a few hotels, and as of yet, they all accept cash. What you do is reserve a room using your cc. But when you check in, you pay for the room in cash, plus leave a refundable deposit. Just email the hotel you are planning to stay at if they will do this, like I said, haven't met a hotel that won't. Getting a hobbying cell phone, go to Mac's Milk, Beckers, some gas stations, wireless wave, etc, buy a pay as you go phone no sweat. As for your question about unlucky, chalk it up to experience. There is a learning curve, certainly. Bottom line, all you are doing is getting a hotel room so you can see a SP. The hotel doesn't know why you are there (and they really don't care as long as no damage), and you are just one in hundreds of people the hotel will see that day RG
Phaedrus 209521 Report post Posted May 7, 2011 A couple of thoughts on this. I should probably qualify them by saying up front that I'm in a similar position to you - MPs and indy MAs are what I do, generally (all incalls) so I know very little about outcalls. Anyways... As others have said, all this screams "incall" to me. Obviously this is no use if your heart's desire only does outcalls, but if you have an option that may be the way to go. Secondly, a backup plan might be an idea, depending on how fussy you are about who you see. If you've already booked a hotel room, it may be an idea to have an agency number or two in your back pocket in case of Real Life getting in the way - it happens, sometimes. At least you can have fun and the room isn't wasted. Finally... don't sweat the fact that you'd rather have fun than work late. Seriously. Your leisure time is by no means worth less than anyone else's, irrespective of what you do with it. The fact that you've decided to spend time with a delightful lady rather than any of the other pursuits that life offers us is in no way an inferior choice. I daresay you know this already, but just in case it needs saying - you have no reason to feel guilty about not working when you have a prior engagement! Remember, nobody has ever said on his or her deathbed, "I wish I'd spent more time at the office!" :)
roamingguy 300292 Report post Posted May 11, 2011 Just something else to keep in mind, (and boy, am I glad I plan ahead). Just checking hotel rates on the internet on the off chance price may have come down at the hotel I'm staying at...well I am seeing another great lady this weekend, room reserved well in advance. Rates haven't gone down, but there isn't a room to be had in the town. Had I left arrangements to the last minute, well I'd be scrambling for an outcall location, and one probably second or third class at that Just a comment RG
dunn2010 121 Report post Posted May 14, 2011 Dude, first off RELAX. I got a bit stressed reading your story!!! :icon_confused: Sounds to me you might be better off using in-call SP. It's pretty standard you have to provide a credit card to reserve a room, you really should not worry about that. I can understand you may not want the room charge to show up on your bill, but like Roaming guy said you can pay in cash.
drlove 37204 Report post Posted May 21, 2011 Rob, I wouldn't worry about outcalls to a hotel at all. They are completely legal, and I have no qualms whatsoever about giving my name at check-in. You need to make sure that your name matches the one on your credit card, obviously, and the agency will cross reference your name with the name assigned to your room number before they send a lady out. I used to book hotels all the time for hobbying purposes and never had a problem. In fact, if I was going to be worried at all, it would be more the case if I was seeing a lady at a hotel for an incall. E.g. (in case I walked into the hotel and couldn't find the elevator, looking lost for a minute etc. which might catch the attention of staff in the lobby. But, even that is a long shot). ohohoh 92 Report post Posted May 23, 2011 Wow, I am interested in outcalls but you make it sound so scary and so much work. I suggest making an outcall with an Indie. Who cares about giving your credit card or ID. They do not know why you want the room. Most hotels, you can pre-check out and avoid the hassle of leaving after a few hours which is way more suspicious than giving your CC. You mention extend the room by an hour ... this scares me to the quality of hotel book. I am not familiar with Hotels that book by the hour other than hotels in Brazil. SamanthaEvans 166767 Report post Posted May 24, 2011 (edited) Dear ones, Without drawing too fine a point, I will say that I'm a frequent visitor to Vancouver's finest downtown hotels. They're busy places, full of groups, couples and individuals coming and going, back and forth, into the restaurant, the lounge, the shops, taking the hotel dog(s) for a walk, having quick meetings in the lobby. No one is paying any particular attention to anyone unless they're planning to meet someone. The staff are friendly and usually very busy. I imagine that anyone would feel welcome as long as they're properly dressed, relatively clean and not stumbling about in a drunken or drug-addled haze. Particularly in the evening, one will see young women wearing extraordinarily high heels on their feet, unfortunately heavy make-up and as little as possible everywhere else. They're generally new to the profession--this time of year, sex work becomes some university students' summer job for a few weeks. They may turn heads. They elicit knowing grins and occasional snickers from others nearby. But the most observant concierges and hotel staff treat them with the same grace and decorum as they afford everyone else. My point is: stop worrying. If you're in a 4 or 5-star hotel, you're safe. Discretion is the innkeeper's stock-in-trade. Hotels are the site for all kinds of legitimate and shadowy business because they're clean, have prompt, reliable service, have staff who will come at a moment's notice if called but will otherwise allow their guests almost as much privacy as one would expect to have at home, and because the management doesn't ask too many questions. Innkeepers and paid companions have been in cahoots ever since some enterprising fellow realized that he could get a side benefit from ensuring that those of us who practice the world's oldest profession have a place to engage in it. Maybe the very first time you do an outcall it will be scary, but, and not sounding smart, hotels are in the business of renting rooms. They don't interrogate you as to why you need a room any more than a restaurant would interrogate you as to why you want a meal. If you want to leave after a few hours go to a hotel near an airport, it isn't uncommon for people to stay less than the full day when travelling, they would just chalk you up to being a traveller. Me, I find the hotel just part of the escape of seeing a lady...and one more thing, there is nothing illegal about an outcall. RG
