Guest S**a*Q Report post Posted May 6, 2011 I was thinking that maybe we could have a casino night or game night, Ooh or a carnival night! *(Mmmm gives me reasoning to wear a costume!!!) I'd like to raise money for charities (and for POWER) with the events of the evening. We could either play that the house is the charitable pot, or we could make money or chips to go towards prizes and charge an entry fee... I'd like to volunteer to organize this, but I know that I would for sure need to have some help to run the tables and plan in general. I just would like to know if there would be interest in this style of evening, or would we rather stick to the more mingling type of social? Please let me know! I'm thinking games like Ring Toss, and have a Kissing Booth, maybe see if we can get a Burlesque show on or a belly dancer. We have tons of talent in our pool here... Ummm, craps maybe I'm not sure we can get slot machines in though lol Roulette would require a rental, but possibly do-able (?) Not sure where I heard that but it's stuck in my head, I think some high school kids I knew tried to do one and the government butted its head in. blumantru 661 Report post Posted May 7, 2011 Casino is an awesome idea but I would probably avoid poker. Truth is that sitting and playing will slow down the fun. Stick with tall tables and have people stand only. Maybe tall stools. This keeps people moving and interactive. If you also make it more of a riverboat style you can have some fun with dressup.
