I see loads of sex workers being shadow banned on Twitter and Instagram, but from what I see they've not actually broken any rules. Have you guys ever been shadow banned? And if you have, do you know what caused it?

From what I can see, nudity is allowed on Twitter as long as you have the "adult content" filter on. Apparently it also helps having "NSFW" or "adult content" in your bio.

I know you're not allowed to share sexual content that you don't have permission to share too (duh). But I'm seeing lots of Providers getting this punishment after only sharing their own content.

So, does anyone have any experience with this?

Not being a Twitter user, I can't really comment. But as Trump recently started a war with social media platforms for the right to say anything no matter how hateful, hurtful and untruth, I think it's safe to say this will end up in supreme court and may change how those websites/apps are used and enforced. Even if those rules could be slightly different on this side of the border, we should still feel the impact of whatever decision will be made.

The problem with Twitter is that nobody really knows what the rules are, or how they're enforced, if at all. Twitter claims that shadowbanning isn't a real thing and they never do it; I've never encountered anyone who believes that.

I have a horrible feeling that a lot of this is driven by reports and handled by algorithms; that means that if a bunch of people report your posts, you'll be downlisted in things like search results and suggestions; and if more people report your stuff, you'll get shut down. What you're posting seems to be somewhat irrelevant as there doesn't seem to be a lot of human involvement on Twitter's end. The entire system seems to be vulnerable to a good old-fashioned dogpile, or just one person with a grudge and control of a few bot accounts.

JMO but it's not an omnipotent  "Twitter Big Brother (or Sister)" that randomly targets Twitter accounts to shadow ban aka Twitter Prison LOL  Instead one Twitter member sees another Twitter account, doesn't like it for whatever reason (even not relating to Twitter rules IMO) and goes running to Twitter mummy and daddy (is my sarcasm showing) to get that account closed or shadow banned at least

I've complained to Twitter when it was bona fide hate Tweets (racist tweets etc) and it was like pulling hen's teeth for Twitter to do anything, if they did anything at all.  So I don't have an answer, just my experience/observation.  Please don't shadow ban me here for posting it

Haha your opinion is always welcomed RG! I agree, I think it's more people reporting stuff that does it, but I do wonder if certain hashtags affect it too. I've seen quite a few people anecdotally say that when they use #escort in their tweets they get punished for it, but unfortunately I haven't got any data or evidence to prove this.

Thank You  And you may very well be right about certain hashtags but why doesn't Twitter just up and delete those hashtags then...after all if members can block other members can't mummy and daddy just delete those hashtags.  And JMO of course but I wonder how many going after one companion using hashtags so to speak is in fact another companion they view as the competition?  Just a quick two cent spitballing LOL
