Parkdale Hooker Sweep Nabs 130 Johns

TORONTO - It only took Toronto police four days to make more than 140 arrests -- as part of a crack-down on prostitution in Parkdale. More than 130 would-be johns were nabbed in the sweep -- anywhere between 16 and 72 years of age.

20 years ago I lived at Queen and Dunn in fabulous Parkdale and the area had a presence of ladies on the street then... do we really think that cleaning up for one or two evenings will make some dent in prostitution in Toronto? Honestly... .
