HoldenG8 14 Report post Posted July 23, 2020 Now that things are starting to open back up, more so in the Atlantic provinces. What are hotels doing for non guests/Visitors coming and going. What has been everyone's experience so far?? Was looking to pre book with some lovely ladies, as its been far to long!!
Guest Report post Posted July 23, 2020 As different hotels and ladies may have different policies, would simply recommend following their instructions when meeting.

But with the current situation, some places are more likely to ask were you're going. The sp should either give a heads up or suggest a side entrance for privacy. I was just more curious on if Hotels were screening people coming and going etc.. I would assume most are doing Hotels with private entrances etc..

I agree 100%, I was just more so looking for some general feedback on others current experiences. and not necessarily specific to anyone
Sharpe 771 Report post Posted July 24, 2020 Be sure to stop yourself from whistling the Mission Impossible theme at least when you’re walking right by the front desk... Hopefully with the 20% incentive in NB and the Atlantic bubble we’ll see busier hotels. Until then hotels with private room entrances and side doors are definitely the way to go.

StephanieMystique 1902 Report post Posted July 24, 2020 @HoldenG8 I will not get into detail of hotels as there may be some watching and paying attention. I have done some personal travel to investigate areas and see what protocols are. I tend to give detailed instructions for where to park, enter, directions for the elevator, and how to leave if there is any issues, Just be aware that some of us may not be at our normal hotels as higher end places seem to be more strict since covid-19. 5

Guest Report post Posted July 25, 2020 And this obviously goes both ways when inviting a lady to your room. Clear instructions or escorting her inside(no pun intended) normally make things much easier.
Sharpe 771 Report post Posted August 10, 2020 I wonder if it would be worthwhile to start a thread listing hotel suggestions for some of the more frequented cities. I think it was Katherine of Halifax who mentioned staff questioning guests coming in to a hotel in Sydney. Don’t want to find out the hard way that some hotels have extra precautions. Maybe helpful for first time visitors. Just a thought.

If a list is created, it should be for Verified Independents only. And as already mentioned, clear instructions should given to visitors to avoid awkward interactions. Sharpe 771 Report post Posted August 10, 2020 I’m sure the hotels wouldn’t appreciate it but it’s not like a lyla posting is going to appear at the top of any google search. They would have to dig deep behind a million trivago and Expedia listings before they find it. Besides it’s not like hotel names have never been mentioned on lyla already.

I agree, but there's a difference between being mentioned and being recommended. If they learn about such a list, you can expect they'll put the necessary effort to get removed. Which it's known to have hotels looking upon our communities to stay alert. The discussion form is not for members only to view. It's still public for anyone to see. Let's not push the extra restrictions in place with a full out hunt/ban on us by providing a list. It's a big reason why we won't give out locations upon request, you will get a round location instead. As we need to keep it safe for clients and ourselves. The east coast providers are in communication at all times for places to stay and even more so now. Many of us have had to do extra work to make sure a place is still discreet enough to stay at. 5
Sharpe 771 Report post Posted August 13, 2020 Yes all good points. An informal discussion among providers is definitely a better idea. Certainly don’t want to call extra attention to ourselves. Thanks! 2
Allie Zeon 2925 Report post Posted August 15, 2020 During covid19, i strongly recommend clients come during regular hours, 9 am to 9 pm, bring something with you ( a large green tea for me or office bag, etc) and know your ladies’s real name and room number just in case if the receptionist ask for it. I always tell my clients my first name, room number and I ask them to buy me a large green tea from timmies. If the front desk ask, simply tell that we are friends or family, or business partner etc...be creative yet convincing:) 3

Not everyone has your best interest at heart. Depending on location it may not be enough to get to the room. 3
Chris88 2 Report post Posted August 16, 2020 I had noticed tightened security at the hotels entrance (locked) and the desk staff asked for the room number before letting me pass through.
Sharpe 771 Report post Posted August 16, 2020 I have also noticed that many hotels with multiple entrances have locked every door but the main one. However both times that happened to me The hotel itself was so quiet that there weren’t any staff at the front desk. They were all in the back office trying to keep busy or whatever. 1
