Sumac 1105 Report post Posted January 4, 2021 Wondering if any SWs use discreet emails for etransfer of deposits? Seems any email that depicts a female name would be a barrier for many potential clients. Shared financial records and accounts are common in many homes...and many would not want to explain who/what the $200 etransfer was for. Having an email referencing sports or auto supplies would make the process much more client friendly....I think. Emails like [email protected] should provide a greater level of discretion and may increase the number and frequency of clients who visit providers. Thoughts and perspectives would be appreciated. 2
Phaedrus 209521 Report post Posted January 5, 2021 I think most SWs who request deposits have a discreet email for the purpose, although I'm not sure if they're all stereotypically guy-ish things like cars and sports :) But they understand that many clients have to avoid anything that might look suspicious.

IsabellaDivine 56 Report post Posted January 12, 2021 As my bank doesn't show who transfers are being sent to or received from I assumed this was the case for everyone. I'll be making a second (third?) e-mail for this exact purpose.
yak30000 1012 Report post Posted January 12, 2021 Although I understand your possition, this could backfire. If an escort gives me an email autoparts47@gmail, that would be a red light right away. Is she being pimpped? Is this a scam? Would there be someone else besides the girl? Also, banks are now disclosing real identity, Mine does. An alternative would be the girls start accepting credit/debit and in the charge description put something like "GROCERIES INC".
OldandNerdy 1303 Report post Posted January 12, 2021 I said this before about a year ago, Square allows anyone to accept credit cards online/in person, you can setup anything as the company name and it will show up as "SQ*Name" on the transaction. The downside is that it still captures the real name of the credit card holder. So you'd want to get a prepaid card to be completely discrete. It would cost up to about 3% per transaction, but I think if I was a SP, I'd want to use it to make life easier.
MsManda 25685 Report post Posted January 13, 2021 Square isn't adult friendly, and I believe will close our account should anyone report us, as well as make it hard to claim our balance when they do. Too risky for my liking Chargebacks are also an issue, which is why some of us don't absolutely hate the other platforms that allow us to process payments; even with the hefty charges that we have to pay to use them, unwarranted chargebacks are more easily avoided with the middleman. Joe blow may not care about screwing over an Independent sp for 300+, but one tends to reconsider when it would come with a ban from his beloved site
Sumac 1105 Report post Posted January 15, 2021 Interesting perspectives. Can see the value of deposits for sure....especially for clients where a high level of earned trust has not yet been established. Joint accounts just make for awkward discussions....so obscure etransfer names would help. As would the end of this darn Covid stuff.
Ciara Ryan 1079 Report post Posted April 28, 2021 (edited) What I suggest to my clients who need absolute discretion is to go into any of my banks branch locations. I provide them with my information account number etc. & make the deposit anonymously there. They receive a receipt from the teller for the deposit, there is no hold on the account because it's going directly into my bank account and it's completely untraceable for the clients no paper trail. The other option that I have given my client sometimes is to meet with me for a brief moment prior to our appointment time and Get the deposit from them in person. That way they get to feel comfortable with you because they meet you at a time and know that you're real and you're not just trying to rip them off and you have your deposit so you know that they're going to show up to their appointment Edited April 28, 2021 by Ciara Ryan
Ciara Ryan 1079 Report post Posted May 10, 2021 I haven't had any issues with giving out my bank account number. Perhaps I'm naive . I'm not sure what could happen ( fraud wise ) by giving my account to deposit money. Does anyone else have any advise ? I have tried crypto the only big downfall is both the client and sp lose on the fee transfers . Guess it depends on what day your transferring. The market seems to be going up up up for Bitcoin and Eth so if you can take as a deposit and hold on to it for a bit you might gain on it. If you want the money right away though every one will lose a few dollars. That being said it is a secure/ discreet way for clients to pay a deposit and for us as service providers I guess it's still a plus because saves getting humiliated by being stood up which has been happening more and more lately it seems 😞
Phaedrus 209521 Report post Posted May 11, 2021 Perhaps I'm missing something, but why would you give your account number rather than just an email address and use Interac? I'd have thought that Interac is easier. But I don't do this often, so... Crypto has its fans and also its issues... but that's a whole other thread :)

Also, are you not concerned they could do something nefarious with your information?
Ciara Ryan 1079 Report post Posted May 12, 2021 That's what I was asking in my last msg ... I don't know what could be done with my info that's what I was asking in my last msg . I do give my real name when they go to do the deposit but my clients also get my real name when they send me an e-deposit I also give them my information when they give me a deposit in oerson as well so they know who has taken their money . I think that's only proper . Same as when they send me money their real name shows up telling me who's sent the money to me . I think there has to be a certain level of trust here . Just like locks only keep honest people out . If some one wants to be devious then their gonna be devious . Which I'm sure they would be successful at with or without my real name. It's not like it would be hard to find me on facebook snap chat Etc if they really wanted to breech my discretion. As an sp I'm meeting someone to have intimate relations with them the last thing I'm worried about safety wise is giving my bank account number but then again my account doesn't look all that great so with all that said had a million dollars in my account then I'd probably think differently about my account number being given out ... it would would be a lot of work for nothing lol 1

Surprised that banks still allow this anonymously. Also, repeated such deposits would become suspicious to the bank. E.g. it used tonbe the way drug dealers collected from several smaller "street ckrner dealers "

So long as they have the bank account number, they can't really deny a deposit. Now alerting an authority about it is a different story. One of the reasons I do not deposit is that I don't have a discreet way to return money should something happen on my end that the appointment gets canceled. Sophia Sinclair 3 Report post Posted August 16, 2021 Personally I use a paid business hushmail account that can be encrypted. You make up a PW (I have no knowledge of it) and that way no one, including a SO, can access or view our correspondence without it. The only downside is that it requires remembering yet another PW. For the record, I have bought furniture from Kimmberly Capone Interior Design so there are non industry business's using female names like ours. This means an email address incorporating part or all of a brand name can be explained away. I would also like to add that simply putting deposit or payment in full, whichever is the case, on an e-transfer is best. Some try to get creative, stating something related to their business, which covers their butt but not mine. Neither the bank nor RC know me as Sophia, so even putting my stage name could be problematic for me. The other option for a deposit is a GC. Most ladies indicate what they'll accept on their sites. I hope this helps!
