Cato 160314 Report post Posted May 27, 2011 On a side note, the Ontario Conservatives are now advocating chain gangs! Our very own local home-grown Tea Party! Charming! If there's a retrograde idea floating around in the US, the Conservatives are sure to pick it up. To Samantha, I'm not sure about the power of polling as a means of controlling the H government. By removing the public subsidy from party funding, as they plan to do in the next budget, having a very large share of corporate funding, and running nasty US-style attack ads, they will try to force their right-wing agenda, I fear. SamanthaEvans 166766 Report post Posted May 27, 2011 You may be right, Cato. However, I've gotta say that right-wingers seem to pay for sex with fewer qualms than the lefties--who get all bent out of shape over whether even high-end ladies really consent to what we doing. Mind, that doesn't mean that right-leaning politicians would have any problem with passing restrictive legislation one morning and then trundling off to see their favourite paid companions that afternoon!
Cato 160314 Report post Posted May 27, 2011 I agree with you about all kinds of moralism in politics, Samantha. I'm not in favour of that kind of pseudo-'progressive' politics either.
