Nothing new. The LL verified process is minimalistic and easily defeatable with a model willing to pose for a few pictures or minimal photo editing skills.

As for e-transfer or other alternative payment methods, this should be reserved for well established and recommended providers.

The subject of fake or "enhanced" recommendations has been raised many times. Myself and others flagged many of those. But some still remain has less obvious or protected by abused board rules.

Yes! Thanks for supporting me.  I was actually hesitating when I posted this but I feel so bad for my clients who have been scammed so I posted anyway 😊

You're welcome.

Too many wrongly assume a membership or recommendation on this board equals honesty and safety, when not always the case. Many profiles and recommendations are created for reviews quotes in their ads. And some long time members take advantage of the "no negative reviews" to ride the line between while lies and misleading.

Not gonna go deeper, but when in doubt there's nothing wrong in looking for a second opinion.

It saddens me to see that some individual get scammed by those taking advantage of others.

Reputable, established SW's screen for their safety as well as the safety of their clients - in other words, they do their homework before meeting with clients.

Clients to have an obligation.  Research the SW you are hoping to meet with.  Where does she advertise? Does she have a website? Look for reviews, recommendations - sadly these are subjective and may be mis-leading.  What method of contact does she prefer?  What kind of pictures does she post?  Does she offer outcall only?  What payment methods do they accept/expect?

While far from an exhaustive list of what a potential client needs to do to ensure who ever they are meeting with is legitimate, it is sometimes easy to lay the blame solely at the feet of an SW's.

If it looks too good to be true or makes you have doubts, perhaps you need to look elsewhere.

Anyway, my thoughts. and in no way directed at anyone specific.

Stay safe everyone.

It would be nice to see more people use the warning section on this site to keep us in the loop about troublesome individuals

Not everything can be reported there. The forum can't be used to describe bad or mediocre experiences unless there was a clear intent to deceive or defraud.

Reason to seek references, reviews and recommendations from different sources.

Agreed, if you can't say something nice then say nothing at all. However the OP refers to varified and recommended ladies who are scamming clients, therefore those should quallify for the warning section.

Everyone does or should be doing there own research, but what happens when the research shows a verified SP with lyla recommendation and no other warnings?

Again, there nothing wrong in posting a warning or reporting questionable behavior to mods and admins. The more evidence provided, the easier to ban those members.

Very good question.  It's a particular girl is verified with Lyla Reco but once you come the girl is not exactly as advertised, I would say simply turn back.

I was hesitant posting this because I'm a provider myself and support other providers who have worked so hard, especially during this hard situation.

However, it's only fair for us, provider to show our real, recent photos and not try to deceive clients.  It does not matter whether, we are in our 50s, chubby, skinny, small breasts..etc . there's always clients who like us if we truly show our "color", with new pictures,  social media presence or join review boards and contribute.  Our clients have difficult times as well and we have to appreciate their hard earned money.  So it will be only  fair if we provide them with a good service.

Unfortunately there are individuals who try to take benefits and scam clients by posting fake pics and ask gift card or e-transfer but never deliver the service promised

Good and bad providers exist as well as good and bad clients.  We just have to do our home work to screen and only choose good ones.

Leolist verification is meaningless. It basically means the pic included something scrawled on a piece of paper.

There was no statement about a lyla recommendation - see quote below and note the "quotes".

I have more and more clients complain about some  verified girls on Leolist.Cc scamming people asking for online  gift card or etransfer before hand and never return the call nor text once received.

One guy who just saw me also complain about a girl who has been discussed in here and “vouched “ by members of Lyla who turn out to be not exactly as advertised.

This situation seems to me to be someone who simply didn't do any basic homework and ignored multiple warning about gift cards, etc. There is far more valuable advice here on lyla than there are false "vouches". Leolist is the source of just about all the fakers and results in all sorts of goofy requests like 'anybody seen her?' 'any info?'

I highly recommend reviewing the profile of any member who provides a reco or posts an ad. You can discern a lot by doing this: when they joined, when they last visited, review their content (where they post from - i.e. location if they haven;t listed in in their profile) and the type of posts they've made. Shills and suspicious posts tend to stick out like a sore thumb. As an example I recently saw one member who is closing in on his 4th year on the board whose posts paint a troublesome picture: on one thread he was called out by a couple of maritime based SPs as a 'wanna be pimp' (I agree) and he clearly lives nowhere near the east coast.

I appreciate @Allie Zeon for raising this concern as it reflects back on reputable SWs (though it really shouldn't) like herself and helps protect the less experienced clients.

I have to admit I have difficulty being sympathetic with clients who do virtually no homework. Members like @Greenteal have posted simple instruction on how to verify pics (if that's a concern for you). I happen to use e-transfers where possible but that's because I can and I generally only see reputable Lyla members who have some history on here. Once an SP has established a brand and reputation (reco or no reco)  they've no interest in doing anything to mess that up. They want repeat clients.

I note my perspective is being posted from a population centre in Ontario so the challenges in NB are different.

Yes you are right! I read "vouches" and somehow translated it to recomends as I read the other comments. My appologies!

I just will not go to any external site if they require it, LOL or etransfer without knowing the lady in person first.  I don’t find it that hard to avoid the many fakes.  Any ad that has clear face shots are always suspect to me...unless they are well established and well known like you Allie.  🤘🏼

Thanks for the input boys.
We can’t blame new hobbyists simply because they are beginner.  It’s a learning processs and it will get better over time and hopefully by reading this, the beginners will be more careful in selecting the right ladies and can avoid any hassle or problem:)

Btw, I do require a deposit and/or screening as well. So, please don’t thing that every girl who asks a deposit is a scammer lol.

I request a deposit for several reasons.  One of the reasons is the sender can be tracked or reported just in case something goes wrong.  The clients also can report it if the lady goes silent after receiving it.  So it goes both way.

However, I totally understand for those who hesitate to send the etransfer. That’s fine, I will screen you instead:)

Bottom line is, do our homework and research and don’t be lured simply by beautiful pics.  It might not be her, it might be a 7 feet big guy with tattoos waiting 😎

It’s sad that people abuse trust with clients for lots of others by being dishonest and scamming. This industry is changing fast enough for everyone involved I don’t think anyone needs to be doing things that will make it any harder for any of us SPs

thanks for sharing @Allie Zeon a good warning for gentlemen to be cautious & a reminder for us ladies to be authentic and TRUE!

To be fair, very few if any of those scammers are actually SW's. Like with any con-artists, they used to opportunity to act as middlemen(or women) or pretend to be someone else to take advantage of inexperienced clients.

Other than vigilance, not much can be done. We can report many times, but they'll always pop back under different names and pictures. They'll do this until caught, arrested or meet a more tragic ending after scamming the wrong person.

And if one day laws are updated to allow legal transactions between consenting adults, we'll stop dealing in the dark/grey market and reduce opportunities for scammers.

And some people who are new to this hobby may not be aware of bulletin boards and may not know anyone/feel comfortable speaking with someone in regards to the do’s/don’ts and what to look out for, both good and bad. It took me over two years to find out about boards and have learned a lot, which would have been helpful when I was first starting out.

Yes.  I’ve had some beginners who have seen me and ask some questions that can be perceived “naive” to those who are experienced in this hobby but yes, they are still naive and definitely need to be given more infos. “Escorting for dummies 101” lol

Further more, Lydia just had an interesting interview with Alison that shows some lights how the business has evolved over the years, both for clients and providers.

Lydia @lydiahardwood has just posted a topic about the new social network called lips that is supposed to be queer, non binary, stripper, escort, cam girl, or anything sex related friendly.

Love it!  Sex is not a sin.  It’s our needs as human and we have to embrace it instead of hiding it or seeing it as something dirty or taboos.

I’ve been happier physically as an escort. I need, excuse my language, Dick in my life 😎

Happy hunting and happy escorting! Do your homework and research well first though 😎

Agreed. It's obviously not the clients who are not aware of the boards who post here and elsewhere seeking information without doing any homework nor exercising any common sense, which can be in short supply when the little head takes over brain function, lol.

Generally I observe newbie questions posted here are gently guided to many of the excellent resources available on lyla. I think lyla is among the better/best of boards. That being said it's the only one I'm a member on .... yeah I've perused a few terb posts due to ladies providing reviews from there but the inevitable toxicity always shows up too.

@Greenteal I agree with all your points but this one. I'm a fan of decriminalization as opposed to legalization for the sex trade. Our current laws just make it less safe for SWs but updating them isn't going to do anything to eliminate the "dark/grey market". That is grounded in place by personal circumstances, perceived need for discretion, stigma and judgement. There is a long road ahead of us.
