The case highlights debate over decriminalizing prostitution to give prostitutes the advantages of a legal trade. Opponents say most prostitutes are victims, and society should do more to rescue them from a moral crime. How well do existing laws protect women? How would decriminalization improve the lives of prostitutes, and would it prevent human trafficking?
