Nelly has been advertising since few days. Has anyone seen her and can confirm if it is another fake ad or real? Thank you.

Greenteal don’t be rude. You don’t need to answer questions if you don’t want to. People appreciate your advise and everything but tell some one “

There no reasons why you couldn't discover this yourself. Took me under a minute with Google Images. Really not hard to learn and save yourself serious problems”

You have experience and some others don’t.

the member appreciated you advise. Didn’t ask for sarcasm

There are people like me who haven’t a clue how to check if pictures are real or fake. I am in no way tech savvy. The snide replies turn me and I’m sure others away from asking questions

It's not sarcasm, just plain reality.

Doesn't require a lot of skills to verify pictures and general information.

The possibility of losing hundreds of dollars, getting assaulted or arrested should be more than enough reasons to learn those basic skills.

She’s back and posting under the same name with different pics. I told them I would come and pay double the rate if they could prove the pics were real - radio silence.

They are running out of a hotel so don’t think you would be assaulted , or arrested - cops would be going for John’s who are looking for minors.

but you would be completely disappointed when the door opened. Complete scam.

     There far more to consider.

First, A majority of providers behind those ads are NOT independent, making the transaction completely illegal on both sides. As for law enforcement, sting operations are more about the quantity of potential charges than actual nature of offences. And being legal age is irrelevant if she's selling services against her will.

Second, Even if the person behind the ad is decent enough, the risks are absolutely not worth it. Contacting and doing business with them only enable illegal businesses and misleading/fraudulent ads. The only way to eliminate those type of ads is to ignore them.

Not all ads are scams. But clients need to educate themselves and support providers making an honest living instead of giving attention to clickbait BS ads.

One last thing, DON'T TROLL THEM.

You got no idea who you're dealing with and often best to keep it that way. The same with those young women. They're already stuck in an unpleasant existence with little control on who they meet, on their schedules/travels and how they are marketed. If against better judgement you choose to meet one, please don't make it harder on them.

I also find myself wondering if clients that have negative outcomes become more difficult for well-established providers to do business with. When a client is looking over their shoulder or expecting problems... which in turn can be stressful for the SP.

Even more reason its in the community's (SP and client alike) interest that we teach new clients how to avoid unpleasant encounters.

It's not that hard to see the difference between legit and fake/questionable.

Any ad that only consist of pretty pictures and a phone number with no results in Google, should be ignored. No matter if new or experienced, contacting and meeting someone that way is dangerous.

A majority of legit providers will post links to their websites, social media pages and other references including reviews and recommendations. It removes a lot of stress and uncertainty when dealing with a professional who legally sell services.

Its good to have a board like Lyla that helps share the necessity and means.

Boards are only good if members take the time to read those.

There plenty who been here for years and still couldn't use search tools if their lives depended on it.

We live in an age where we can literally get answers to everything by asking our phones. That includes prostitution laws in clear simple terms.

There only so much I and others can post on the subject manner. This is an activity where people can lose their families, jobs, liberties and potentially their lives. The excuse of "I'm too dumb with computers" doesn't apply anymore. If a responsible adult believes a pornstar or Instagram model waits for him in a dirty hotel, there nothing we can do for him. I don't wish harm upon anyone. But if it takes a loaded gun or a badge to knock some sense into someone, so be it.

And frankly even for those clients  good at spotting fake ads (or the easy ones), it just lowers odds of a negative outcome from an unknown provider... I'm not sure one can always count on would-be scammers or stings to post easy-to-spot ads.

Community and reputation are indispensable to someone who wants to lower their risks as low as they can go.

The entire purpose of this board (and others) is to facilitate communications and share feedback about safe reputable providers.

Repeatedly asking for "any info" about those who are either exploited or simply refuse to promote themselves in an adequate way is a complete waste of time for everyone.

As for the possibility of getting caught in a sting, it's again the responsibility of client to understand the law. The police could have full transcripts of communications, but if none contains request for sexual services, they don't have a case. There no excuses when all the information is available to all:

Fact Sheet - Prostitution Criminal Law Reform: Bill C-36, the Protection of Communities and Exploited Persons Act (justice.gc.ca)

A look at prostitution and solicitation in Canada — Criminal Lawyers Edmonton | DUI Lawyers Edmonton Law Firm (haryett.ca)

And there plenty other online sources for those who actually make an effort to understand what's legal and not. Much easier to learn now than spending the rest of your life trying to undo the consequences.

sometimes sure... and/or maybe some of those can and haven't seen the need to thus far... I ran across this model a few years ago... a lot of us start teaching "knowledge" when what the potential learner is missing is "what's in it for them" to do it themselves.

Yeah I posted a thread about this type of thing at least a year ago and was essentially told that teaching doesn't work so we might as well just keep doing the work for them.

I agree that the reason it doesn't work, is that there's no incentive for people to do a little bit more if we just keeping giving the answer.  But until we all stop enabling the "any info" people, they just won't do anything for themselves.

also beware of ads with no name.  I am seeing an ad here under Calgary that I am suspicious of, faceless pics with no name, None of the pics are Verified, here is the ad, looking to get some feedback whether this is bait and switch :

If you Google search  the phone number, you'll find many ads with consistent information and name.

I would maybe take those pictures with a grain of salt. But for an ad about relaxing/sensual massages, I see nothing alarming or illegal  about it.
