Is there a Chinese massage place with direct billing? Preferably in downtown area!

Balmoral massage  place used to do insurance receipts. Cost was slightly higher with a receipt

Here we go again.  Another "I want a R&T and and I want my insurance to pay for it" thread.  🤣

 

I wonder how many people have been let go, because GWL or Blue Cross let's their employer know they've been getting "questionable" massage therapy from the receipts submitted.  Any tales of woe out there?

I have submitted a receipt once, and got a return.

But I haven't done it again. I don't need to get audited.

My advice is don't have an insurance company pay for a hobby

Yeah? Last time I checked, getting a massage at a Chinese spa wasn’t against any laws. And my insurance just so happens to cover massages so…….

I apologize if I came across harsh, that's not what I meant

We are all grown adults here or at least I hope so and we can make our decisions for our own selves. I just have an uneasy feeling about where I should claim my insurance or not.

I suppose worst case scenario I get audited and I have to pay back my claim because the RMT license wasn't legit

Just don’t do it.  There have already been media outings of spas that were giving massage receipts for insurance when actually they were providing beauty services like nails , hair etc. 

insurance companies don’t like insurance fraud 

 

go to a proper RMT and use your insurance there

then go to your favourite R&T, pay cash and don’t walk out with a receipt. 
 

the more under the radar this hobby stays the better. It’s just not worth it drawing attention to these places to save a buck.

I thought every place has to have at least 1 licensed RMT , so most places should be able to legally give !
