Business in ottawa will be so much fun and easier if agencies in Ottawa have nice web sites and they will do more business for sure. I have however noticed that the quality of ladies in Ottawa (and quantity) has dramatically improved over the last few years. At least what I can see via the internet. I can remember the days when Canada's Best was the place to go and there was pretty slim pickings then. I remember seeing all that was available in Montreal and being resentful Ottawa wasn't as good....but now we're getting there I think. But I'm no expert... The ladies can come and not worry about getting flamed, bashed, provoked into fighting just to discredit them etc.... a true community for everyone who values and works in the industry. The details from the SP are very enlightening and can make or break a visit, no site = less details less likely to book. Than once you have seen the lady, you can go to the site a few times a day and reminisce (sigh) until you scrape together the peso's for the next visit!! With no site to get your fix from you may spend the peso's on another girl (gasp)! So enticement and customer retention/loyalty I think about sums it up. Some SP have a booking engine on the site and some have a credit card deposit system cool additions not sure how utilized they are (I have used them) Some SP's have calendars and availability posted on the site, if you are adding this feature please maintain it!! Nothing more frustrating than going to the calendar section and seeing months of not yet determined or similar. At least post the next weeks availability. The secret of success in this biz from the provider's perspective is marketing, getting your name out there and maintaining a good name and good service. Having a website, an active profile here and on other boards are simple and effective ways to market one's self. While maintaining a presence with customers and new customers a like without having to sit around and answer the phone all day with questions but bookings instead. But I understand that starting out as an indy can be very overwhelming just to keep up with e-mails. After all there are many who as soon as they hear of a new SP they are in a rush to get in touch, although a great number will maybe never see the SP or wait for months before they do. Meanwhile she is trying to keep up and answer everyone and then gets even more e-mails for those she misses or doesn't answer soon enough. It takes time to maintain a website and I can understand that a new SP may not have the time to do so. Once the SP has established herself then it might be a little easier to maintain it or even better have professionals do it for her. Of course this will add more cost to her business especially if she often updates the site. I know from experience dealing with an SP that ended up with a glitch in her website and it was not easy to fix. I find INDY are doing great efforts here in Ottawa either through websites, participating on CERB or both. On the Agency side then I would have to say we are behind many cities not sure about Winnipeg though.
