guy9999 1040 Report post Posted March 21, 2023 I noticed there's a lot of great new girls not getting reviews. In fact, it seems very few people review on this site anymore at all. I'm not sure what the reason is but it seems to be becoming unreliable for finding reviews on new girls, and newer reviews for well established ones. While it's nice that more girls are posting their ads here, I think this site serves best as a way for both the customer and the provider to avoid bad experiences. That can only happen if more guys are reviewing when they have a good experience. I find it hard to believe that so few people are having a good time with any these women. If that was the case they would all be out of business! I can't say for sure but it seemed to me that more people reviewed in the past. It would be great to see it become a more viable source. 5
Onceinawhile 1126 Report post Posted March 21, 2023 I think that the lack of reviews could be a problem with this review board, not sure what going on. I personally have left recommendations and reviews in the past, and for some reason they just don’t appear.anywhere. This site is not what it used to be for some reason. 6

Taigh815 295 Report post Posted March 22, 2023 I always post a recommendation if a) the lady is happy for me to do so and b) they don't already have many posted. Most of the ladies I see have lots of reviews and are so well known and regarded it really isn't necessary, but when appropriate, I love to comment. 2

Whether it is positive or negative I seldom review now for various reasons. Mainly because most don’t provide any information that would sway me to book. What does is reading through a providers website, ads and socials. I can’t understand why more don’t take the time to do so. Instead will post here asking “has anyone seen so and so”. Within websites, ads, and socials is all the information I need to decide if they are the type of provider suitable for me. Reviews simply tell me that you had a positive or negative time which won’t guarantee me either. I’m also against negative reviews. Unless they are written because of something dangerous or because of a scam.
SavannahSol 1611 Report post Posted March 22, 2023 I’ve had a few clients say they posted reviews and they haven’t gotten published. I've been a member since around 2015 and I still have a moderated account, despite numerous requests for them to sort it out. My reviews usually take about 2 - 3 hours to be cleared, but I haven't had one disappear so far.

I can definitely understand why clients would be hesitant to take time out of their day to write a review if they’ve had them disappear before. Hopefully it gets sorted out before people start not using the board.
Mikejfenwick 1108 Report post Posted March 22, 2023 I recently started a thread titled “Who are your current Top 3” hoping we could generate some new recommendations given the turnover recently and a lot of new SPs. I think that thread was deleted by the moderators - not sure why. I thought that would have been okay in the “Discussion” section. 2
Fantasyvibes 8 Report post Posted March 23, 2023 You should review in general. A lot of reason I don't see an SP is because I don't know if they are real or a cop. Knowing that is 90% of the battle and would probably get them more business in and of themselves.

I believe the review board avoids them due to it putting providers down (intentionally or not) & those TOP SP posts do make it ‘competitive’ with the providers by “rating” us in comparison to others in an industry that has enough challenges/struggles without making it appear us women are against/at each other on any level.

I agree with your perspective and don’t understand the point of posting who’s the best threads or who’s your favorite .My posting who I favour does no one any benefit other than those I favour. But then again some might say the same about reviews. 2 hours ago, Fantasyvibes said: You should review in general. I’ve never known a cop to create social media accounts, only fans or websites in order to catch one of us. If they do go to that trouble I’m sure they’ll also go to the trouble of setting up an account here and posting reviews. So I wouldn’t worry to much. It’s easy enough with the internet and google to check to see if any provider is real. You just have to be willing to do the research. 3

Okay. Great point. That wasn’t my intent. In hind sight I could have easily titled it as “Recent 3” or “Any 3” for that matter. I was observing a dearth of recommendations given the departure of many of our mainstays and many new ladies and my intent was to only stimulate positive information sharing. I take your point.

The way I saw it wasn't that it was intended to be competitive. What we like is entirely subjective and all the contributors said was which ladies gave they enjoyed the most. I can see how this might be seen as being a bit divisive, but as I recall there was a wide range of views and recommendations, so people weren't pitching one provider against another, rather matching them up with their own, individual preferences. Semantics. Changing the threads title wouldn’t change the idea or outcome of it. If you have a concern for lack of reviews then write one or more and make a suggestion for others to do the same. Encouraging people to post who is the top 3, your favorite, most popular or, best of anything does nothing for new providers either. What if none of them are included in anyone’s list?I always cringe when reading things like that. Best breasts, best service, best bodies. It’s all subjective. IMO the moderators have abandoned the site, but it remains the best archive I know of valuable guidance. It's primary function is to enable those who do research to find it and make informed decisions. Otherwise, the scammers own everyone. Real recommendations do matter. My first was rejected because I was new, and the (wonderful) companion has disappeared. I do have recommendations for some Thunder Bay providers but all have established reputations with reviews here so no need to say "Me too!" (-- Amy, Rose, Brooke). IMO the lack of new recommendations is that total participation has fallen off. Lyla now functions as an excellent source for NS and NB. The clients who are here know, but the majority are never here at all. Think about the hundreds or thousands being scammed every day. I have read very few warnings of scammers because there are so many, and 99.3% of victims never find Lyla or have the courage to admit being scammed if they did. The structure is excellent, and the intentions worthy, but without active moderators, no wonder Lyla is stagnating. But your core point it valid. If you are here and if you are able to recommend a SP, why not do so?
Allie Zeon 2925 Report post Posted March 28, 2023 Let me chime in. First of all, Lyla has been bought by leolist...for the better or worse...but this is the fact. Secondly, Lyla is NOT a review board and negative comment is not allowed thus if your reco sounds like a review with all the juicy, explicit details, it won't get approved and published. Thirdly, credibility of the poster. The moderator might see the poster's IP address, the "duration" and the content of his/her post. For example, if someone joins Lyla at 11 am on March 28 and directly post a reco of a particular provider at 11.15 am on the same day. His reco most probably will not be published. Another example, if a reco sounds like as a marketing campaign with over the top wordings for a particular provider, it won't most probably be published either. The worst scenario, of course, when a provider write her own reco with the same IP address, it definitely won't be published. And so on It's tricky huh 🥴 Allie Zeon

Perhaps the moderators/owners could change the wording in their link on leolist as it says escort reviews. In the first few years under the new ownership, Lyla was referred to in their ads as a review board and not as a recommendation board. So this might be why others call it the same. I don’t think it matters. Reviews/recommendations all amount to the same thing. Clients wanting to share their experiences which I feel should be written with respect of the provider and only with their approval. Thanks to Allie Zeon for clarifying ownership. I had made mention of the sale a few years ago and was told I was stating a conspiracy.

In all seriousness, Lyla adheres to a far more ethical standard than most of the other boards I’ve encountered over the years. This holds true even despite its recent shortcomings. The moderation (or lack-thereof) lately is a valid concern that is shared amongst many members here. As far as recos not being posted though, it’s important to keep in mind that things like explicit recounts and numerical ratings of other human beings are not permitted. Negative comments aren’t necessary. If you’ve been taken advantage of through a scam or dangerous encounter… there’s a sub section for that. The way this industry functions presently has rendered review boards, in their traditional sense, mostly useless. I think many would agree that they’ve largely outlived their own necessity. Providers are now verifiable across multiple platforms… a far cry from the way things were at the inception of hobby forums. Recommendations of course are always helpful on both the side of the client and the provider, and there are respectful ways to leave them. Engaging with the overall environment that exists on other boards though is not something I would encourage. If I'm thinking of seeing someone new and they have a website (kind of obligatory for me nowadays), their testimonial page is very useful. OK, they're not going to post anything negative, but so far it has been a great resource. The way the comments are written is quite a tell. I think the issue is how bloody lazy most prospective clients are. And how gullible. They see a pretty face and a hot body and that's it. Men are simple and naive creatures when it comes to sex. They (we) bring it on themselves.
