Malika Fantasy 144625 Report post Posted July 4, 2011 As some of you may know, I've just recently start dancing also and it's fun, first day I thought I would die on the stage, but it's actually fun:D...but i do have one issue...I suck at picking up good songs. What type of songs do you like to see dancers perform?
Cleo Catra 178382 Report post Posted July 4, 2011 Your question was probably more to the gents, but for me, the best girl I ever saw danced to a lot of Bjork songs - Violently Happy, Hyperballad, Army of Me. Music thats a bit more dark but she rocked it was FUCK was it ever sexy. I think you've got the right edge that could pull it off

TGirl-Kay 7485 Report post Posted July 4, 2011 Joan Jett's cover of Tush is a fave of mine. http://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DWa81LzGCgzU I've always though that this one might be fun as well. It's Tom Waits Pasties and A G string.
castle 38816 Report post Posted July 4, 2011 (edited) YESSSSSSSSSSS to poison by alice cooper... a friend of mine recently told me she and a boy had...um... 'fun' to the entire Alice Cooper 'trash' album and I admit to being very, very jealous Being a huge Cooper fan I have to agree with Cleo. Trash is a very sexy album, every song on that album is very sexually charged and several of them, not just Poison, would be very strip club appropriate. If you like edgier stuff, a few other personal preferences I've heard in clubs, although very rarely, which is what made them such a treat are: Brick House by Rob Zombie feat: Lionel Richie, Pussy Liquor also by Rob Zombie: Rob Zombie actually has a lot of sexy sounding sounds, Foxy Foxy is another to check out, as well as Girl On Fire, There's probably a few more by RZ that would be appropriate for a SC, but those are the ones that come to mind right now. A couple that I've never heard in a SC but I think would be pretty good are: If you like Alice Cooper, Sex Death And Money is a pretty good one, and I've always thought had a pretty good beat to dance to, and is pretty appropriate for a strip club, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0f_-EQ3Irg, same goes for Woman of Mass Distraction, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbOkPXwrprg And one band I've recently got into, Grinderman, has a pretty good one, Heathen Child, Oddly enough Marilyn Manson's got a couple good ones too, obviously there's Sweet Dreams, but I think a lot of dancers have done that one, one that would be interesting to see is Tainted Love, Mobscene is another, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CkHXxlzDcg Nine Inch Nails has more than I can count that would all sound good in a strip club, but one that stands out is Physical (You're So) You also don't hear a lot of really old school stuff in strip clubs, recently I've started listening to Blues and there's some that would be pretty appropriate, John Lee Hooker in particular has a few good ones such as, Shake It Baby, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVuOo_LwzXs, Big Legs,Tight Skirt, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbpNov5kIKg, and Boom Boom, And if you ever want to get a little funnier than the other girls there's always The Bad Touch by Bloodhound Gang, ....and lets not forget Kiss Me Where It Smells Funny, :p (ok...those last 2 were jokes, lol) Hope this helps! :) Edited July 5, 2011 by castle

Guest Bri*****e Da**** Report post Posted July 5, 2011 From what I see too much girls use techno, pop...ugh for me most of the time Amen! Since you say you like music that's a bit edgier, I'd recommend Black Math Horsemen (I have Tyrant, Deerslayer, and Origin of Savagery as mp3s if you're interested, all three of which I think could be great on stage), (Digital Bath is also a pretty good one), Bush (Glycerine and The Chemicals Between Us are also good choices!), Nirvana, Puscifier, , and , just to name a few! Areez 11906 Report post Posted July 5, 2011 for some reason i liked this song, haha ... R. Kelly - Slow Wind or for kicks this one i've heard quite a couple of time and its entertaining .. 666 - Dance with the Devil (Trance / Techno themed though) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJVmAh2ygws
toine 30556 Report post Posted July 5, 2011 Go old school (1994), and dance to by Beck. The video even suggests a choregraphy, lol!
curious2 323 Report post Posted July 5, 2011 When the proprietor of Megan's Touch used to dance her music was instantly identifiable as the probability of hearing it when anybody else was dancing anywhere else was infinitesimal. There's a girl at the Nuden named "Max" who dances to "world" music that has a middle eastern/latin sound. In my professional opinion (!), choosing unique songs seems to be an excellent strategy rather than going with standard strip club beats.

castle 38816 Report post Posted July 5, 2011 A couple more I thought of Ozzy Osbourne - Tattooed Dancer Tito And Tarantula - After Dark (even if you don't want to dance to this, you still have to check out the clip. Salma Hayek table dancing...'nuff said :p ) Tito and Tarantula - La Flor De Mal Tito and Tarantula - Strange Face Of Love http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtRk8w8AGUw&feature=related Cherry's Dance of Death from the Planet Terror soundtrack...it's an instrumental, music by Robert Rodriguez, I don't think I've ever seen a dancer dance to a purely instrumental song, so that would be interesting, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvUj1p4PypQ

whiteman 14028 Report post Posted July 6, 2011 This one is a little edgier: Me so Horny, from Revolting cocks I prefer the original version. Additional Comments: These are all less than 5 minutes, usually around the 3 minute mark. Now these are the fast songs, not sure what you'd want to do for your slow song? How about:
Guest S**a*Q Report post Posted July 6, 2011 I haven't gone through what's been said so I apologize if this has been mentioned, but as I'm watching this movie... All the songs seem to be good for dancing to. Also I think the girls in the movie allude to escorts/strippers :) Check out the soundtrack to SuckerPunch, and let me know if you agree :)
