I haven't gone through what's been said so I apologize if this has been mentioned, but as I'm watching this movie... All the songs seem to be good for dancing to. Also I think the girls in the movie allude to escorts/strippers :)

Check out the soundtrack to SuckerPunch, and let me know if you agree :)

Dunno about the soundtrack, but I just checked out the trailer! Wow! Looks like I know what I'll be watching tonight! Thanks Sara! :)

Yes, I have already seen Sucker Punch, I agree the music is great, but you might find it's a little inaccessible to some of your customers.

I haven't seen it yet but from reading the reviews of Sucker Punch I was of the understanding that the soundtrack is mostly classic rock, is that not the case? As someone who frequents SC's fairly often, I'm always happy to hear something other than the usual techno/hip hop crap (no offense to those who like that music, just not my cup of tea). It's refreshing to hear the odd classic rock song, especially if it was chosen by a young lady like Malika, that in itself is something that would make her stand out to the customers in the club, and that's never a bad thing. And though I haven't spoken to other customers of SC's, considering the average age group seems to be 30-50 I would assume they're of a similar opinion.

There are some titles that might look like classic rock titles, but mainly they are remixes, remakes or mashups of those titles. I love how they did it, but this might make them inaccessible to originalists. Let's face it, most classic rock aficionados are old farts, their tastes were set long ago and you won't change their minds. Trust me, I'm from that generation, I know them. :)

Also another problem with remixes is that the new versions usually go longer than the originals. There's a practical matter of how long does a dancer want to dance to a song before she gets fatigued. A song that might have gone 3-4 minutes originally might now become a 5-6 minute marathon in remix form.

Ahhh...I see. I was under the impression that the original songs were used, as was the case with Watchmen....same director. My mistake.

An oldie but goody, bump and grind funky song:

Wow, funky, didn't think Chaka Khan was like this. I always assumed she was more of an Aretha-clone.

Talking Heads - Take Me To The River. That bassline...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXYB-1KTeh4

Goldfrapp - Strict Machine

Or almost anything off her Black Cherry album, for that matter. The title track is good if you want something slower:

(ideas with a tip of the hat to the random stuff my iPod chooses sometimes... :) )

Yeah! I was going to suggest Goldfrapp as well.

Another one that I might suggest though it's a bit raunchy (but hey it's a stripclub, this where things should be raunchy) is anything from Lords of Acid.

What about the greatest "stripper song" of all time, so aptly named by David Rose and his orchestra from 1962!

If you have never heard this song, you better come out from under that rock where you've been living.

Lately as my intro song I've been dancing to the song "#1 Crush" by Garbage.

second song (fast) is "I need a man" Annie Lennox

any my slow song teeters between "Nasty Naughty Boy" Christina Aguilera or "Lights" By Journey

But really I dance to whatever I'm in the mood for that day....makes for the best show if you're into the song you chose :-)

My 2 cents...I go to clubs very often and most girls these days dance to hip-hop, R&B or Rap...as I find it very difficult to tolerate any of these styles for any great length of time, my vote is for ANYTHING WITH A GUITAR, PLEASE.

LOL
