qwertyaccount 15793 Report post Posted July 7, 2011 That sounds helpful. In what way does someone who says No Text Messages because they do not have text messaging on their landline phone send an auto reply? If you have a landline, this tool won't be able to help. If you like the concept, but prefer speaking on a land line because of the higher call quality, you could get a cell phone (your new published number) and call forward it to your landline and get the best of both worlds. On the other hand, for others that may have a cell phone and just prefer not to receive texts, this may be a viable solution.

qwertyaccount 15793 Report post Posted July 7, 2011 Is there a tool that transfers a voice mail to text message mode? Yes, there is a (typically extra cost) service offered by most carriers (both land line and cell) that do this, but with questionable accuracy depending on the speaker and the ambient noise. It could be used to get the jist of a message, but the real recording normally has to be listed to anyway. For land lines, it would be sent via e-mail. qwertyaccount 15793 Report post Posted July 9, 2011 Is there a tool that transfers a voice mail to text message mode? There is a service called "PhoneTag" that does this for almost any Canadian carrier, landline or cell. It can send the translated voicemail message by e-mail or text message. There is a 7 day free trial. More info here: http://www.phonetag.com/ If you try it' I'd be curious on how well it worked for you.
