SamanthaEvans 166767 Report post Posted July 23, 2011 In this morning's e-mail I received this link to a short video satirizing Melissa Farley's work. "Thank You, Melissa Farley."
RobX 2084 Report post Posted July 26, 2011 A pro-sexworker / pro-hobbyist viewpoint and critique of the Melissa Farley study: "I (heart) MEN WHO (heart) WHORES - Sex workers are special people. And so are the ones who love them!" (http://www.xojane.com/sex/i-heart-men-who-heart-whores)
Suzirider 737 Report post Posted July 28, 2011 They fear that women like us are out to take their men away from them... And their mens Cash ! Can't find any info on whether Farley is, or was ever, married. Wonder if her study was done in Canada (where prostitution is legal, and hand guns are not) if her results would be different ? I think she overlooked the bombardment of " buy this product and you will get sex " advertising. Whats the difference between going to a car show and a strip joint ? USA, the worlds largest weapons producer (trafficker?), and their moral crusades make me puke. Guns good , sex bad.

I doubt if she would get different results, because one of the common complaints about her is the research methods. I am pretty sure she's considered a big joke. Suzirider 737 Report post Posted July 28, 2011 Imagine Eliot Spitzer (CNN host) doing a story on Farley's research, and getting her on camera to comment. (So.. Ms Farley, you think I am a degenerant ? Well, I got a TV show, so there !) Never will happen.
