Roxcii Rachelle 696 Report post Posted July 25, 2011 I was recently looking through a magazine at the mall and came across an article titled "Blonde vs. Brunette." It was based around the famous question, do blondes have more fun? I got wrapped up in the article and the statements from real women about their hair color & how they feel it affects their lifestyles. I really started to think about it while I was driving home from the mall & on the way home I stopped at Shoppers Drugmart and picked up a box of platinum blonde hair color! As soon as I got home, I tore the box open and did what I had to do .. About an hour later, after I washed my hair and unwrapped it from the towel .. There was a long blonde mess on top of my head. I had to call the closest hair salon to me and rush down there before closing time. Luckily, the woman fit me in and went to work on my hair. By then, I had already lost hope on the "blonde dream" I acquired while out that day. So it came as a wonderful surprise to me when I lifted my head out of the sink and saw lovely, blonde hair looking back at me! I styled it and then went straight home to the computer to check my messages. A regular client of mine came in to have out meeting as usual. When he left, he tipped me $40 & told me I was even better blonde! So, I haven't figured out if blondes TRULY have more fun, but they make a hell of a lot more money! What do you think? Ladies feel free to share & Gentlemen feel free to state which hair color u prefer (if u have a preference) & why ! This is my first post & I thought it was a pretty cool subject to get feedback on! Until next time, Cashmere xo

Roxcii Rachelle 696 Report post Posted July 25, 2011 That sucks. I didn't have anyone to blame but myself lol. I didn't know I couldn't jump from dark brown to blonde without taking certain steps .. At least I know for next time!
Sensual Erin 33928 Report post Posted July 25, 2011 Congrats on going blonde! I'm a dark natural blond, but do have my hair highlighted to a medium sunny blonde shade by my hairdresser. I know all about the drugstore formulas. lol! It's a two step process to go from your dark brown to light. Has it made a difference in this business for me? I don't think my clients mind what color I am but my personality is blonde and feel more confident with this color. I think it's my confidence that makes the difference no matter what color I choose. Isn't it fun being a girl though! :) That sucks. I didn't have anyone to blame but myself lol.I didn't know I couldn't jump from dark brown to blonde without taking certain steps .. Megan'sTouch 23875 Report post Posted July 25, 2011 My preference is for a lady's natural hair colour, whether it be blonde, red, brown, or black. I find that when the hair is dyed, it's not as "in harmony" with the red of her, eg. it may not match her skin tone as well as her natural colour. Just my opinion! Carrie Moon 68826 Report post Posted July 25, 2011 Shortly after joining an escort service more than 20 years ago.. the owner of the service asked me if I'd mind going blond after the only one she had on staff left the agency. I got my first set of highlights and was a blond for the next 10 years. I took a very long time to get my natural hair color back while I dyed it brown and let it grow out.. and it dried out my hair. I can't say I had ''more fun'' as a blond because I have just as much fun as a brunette but boy did I stand out more! It was easier for friends to find me when searching for me in a crowd or at the mall because blond is easier to spot. Also.. I looked more ''dutch'' which is my natural heritage. Being a brunette which is my natural color is easier.. but sometimes I wistfully think I'd like to go blond again.. and then I remember the maintenance of having to dye my roots every couple weeks but worse than that.. how long it takes to get my natural color back if I decide it wasn't what I really wanted. UGH. Red is even harder to maintain.
Roxcii Rachelle 696 Report post Posted July 25, 2011 Yeah , bleach KILLS your hair completely. Thats the only bad thing. I had to cut several inches off my long hair :( .. It was hard for me to part with, but at the same time; having a complete other hair color & style, it makes me feel like a whole other person. I appreciate the feedback, from ALL of you! Keep it coming!! xo
Guest **cely***r***ne Report post Posted July 25, 2011 Hair disasters! We've all had at least one I am sure! I am a natural dirty blonde, but I have been dying my hair black for years. It was easier to dye than to live with the mess I created bleaching my hair LoL I had been platinum for a few years and when the roots grow in its a horrible mess. I bought a bleaching kit only to have my roots turn orange. I was so sad. I went and bought another bleaching kit and applied. My scalp starting burning so bad I had to immediately wash it out. What I was left with was head of blue hair pretty much fried to my scalp. waaaaa! After going to the salon and them hacking away 12 inches of my once beautiful blonde mane I left there with about 4 inches of red hair. (they had to dye it red to put pigment back in it) After that I dyed it black LoL Now I am growing out my natural colour...yes it looks a mess right now being two toned..but the end result is a gorgeous dirty blonde. I cant say being blonde is more fun...I have fun no matter what color my hair is...and I am thankful that I still have some left on my head!
Malika Fantasy 144625 Report post Posted July 25, 2011 Pink is more fun!Well since apparently it's the new blonde... I have been blonde in the past and I personally hate it, as it really but really doesn't suit me well, darker color are best on me and since I almost have black hair naturally, I need to bleach my hair two time to be blonde...will never do it again! Nor will I ever go all bright pink or blue and purple...it did kill my hair: ( Now I am a dark red/brown, I will probably go more red soon as I feel like a real red head inside me:D
ottawaadventurer 5114 Report post Posted July 25, 2011 For me, the color is irrelevant. What matters is how a woman feels in her own skin (or hair). It's all about loving oneself. :-)
roamingguy 300292 Report post Posted July 25, 2011 Hair disasters! We've all had at least one I am sure! Even us guys have hair disasters, mine came in stages, I'm at stage 3 As for ladies, blondes, brunettes, redheads, long, short or in-between, it's all good, no preference RG
Capital Hunter 18263 Report post Posted July 25, 2011 I agree color is not important and yes the inner beauties are more important and independent of hair or skin color, but when it comes to outer preferences on our side, preferences always varies. Though blondes may be favored more by more people, however to give an honest response to the OP, when it comes to outer beauties, my type of more fun is with (Pale) brunettes. The more pale the skin and the darker the hair, the more fun she is to me. If I could find one at my age range preference, I would invite her over for a weekend fun, unconditionaly.
Isabella Gia (Banned) 53881 Report post Posted July 25, 2011 Hair color does not define a person. So, being blonde is not a guarantee of the person being fun same way does not mean (as some say) the person is not smart. So I as others here don't believe that is true. Being fun is in one's attitude and personality and of course depends on the mood too lol.
Nicolette Vaughn 294340 Report post Posted July 25, 2011 I was a brunette for 3 years when I grew out my hair to its natural color with nothing processed in it which was like soft baby hair all over again. I did some blonde highlights last month which looked good but not fully blonde. I didn't want to go from dark brown directly to a light blonde because this requires at least one step like highlights under your dark hair to start with and then advance lighter from there. I don't think I've ever had a hair disaster because I've been seeing the same guy for 11 years and he knows my hair and what looks good on me. On impulse and a cancellation from someone else at my hair salon, I went fully blonde last Tuesday. I don't believe blondes have more fun which imo is just a catchphrase that's been used for decades. In the end, guys will always have a preference(s) and I don't think hair color is a deal breaker with men. As someone else said, blondes are easier to spot but I find I do get checked out more and makes me look a few years younger.lol. I have also found from a business standpoint I did better as a blonde but the maitenance every 5-6 weeks is annoying but worth it. I feel sexier/girly with blonde hair and more seductive as a brunette.
Guest W***ledi*Time Report post Posted July 25, 2011 I "suffer from" a variety of r-g colourblindness. One of the funniest and fun ladies I ever met ... I thought was a brunette. At one point, though, she let slip a comment about her grandmother's voicing disapproval of her hair. I politely asked why her grandmother would say that. Answer: the lady's hair was bright green. stevecurious 42059 Report post Posted July 25, 2011 For me hair colour, along with a wide variety of other physical attributes, is inconsequential. I really have no issue if a lady has short hair, long hair or NO hair. To me it is not the hair that makes the lady but what is under the hair that defines a woman...that being the brain of course! Having said that I also understand that as individuals we all make choices for ourselves and to a certain extent the other people in our lives. So if being blonde is what you want, and not what society is telling you what you want. I say go for it be blonde, red, black, brown, pink or green. As long as the choice is made by yourself for yourself the rest is unimportant. My thoughts anyway.

Guest 9**A***** Report post Posted July 25, 2011 When I was in my 20's I made my one and only trip to a hair salon to get some blonde streaks in my hair before going on vacation to Central America...what was I thinking! I came back California surf-dude-blonde! I went so far as to dye my eyebrows blonde to match my hair to "lessen" the effect...everyone at work had a good laugh at my two week transformation. qwertyaccount 15793 Report post Posted July 26, 2011 This belongs in the jokes section, but I couldn't resist: A brunette, a redhead and a blonde walk down a beach when suddenly the brunette discovers a magic lamp. The brunette rubs the lamp and POOF! a magic genie appears. The genie tells the girls that he will grant them three wishes, so each girl will have a turn. The redhead goes first and tells the genie that she's always been really smart and she is sick of being teased, so she asks the genie to make her just semi-smart. Suddenly the redhead is turned into a brunette. Next, the brunette takes her turn. She tells the genie that she has always just been sort of smart and she wants to be really smart. Suddenly the brunette becomes a redhead. Finally, it's the blonde's turn. She thinks for a minute and then tells the genie that she's always been dumb and she's tired of being dumb. The blonde says that she wants to be really dumb. Suddenly, the blonde becomes a man!

Lexy Grace 103697 Report post Posted July 26, 2011 My natural hair is a mixture of colours, it must be do to my ethnic background. I have it dyed black right now but it is really brown but not dark with red flecks and golden flecks. You can see all the colours when the light hit it and sometimes without any light. It's pretty cool actually. Whether it is dyed black (now) or natural colour. I always have probably way too much fun! If that's even possible!!
