Malika Fantasy 144625 Report post Posted July 31, 2011 I had to google it, for those that have interest here is an article... http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/if-bill-c-389-passes-transgenderism-will-be-taught-in-kindergarten-clc/ though I don't seem to be able to find some articles saying if it passed or not.... I am ALL for expressing who you truly are, but 5 years old does seem a bit young, I would personally wait 7 or 8 before talking about all that.

No, it only made it as far as first reading in the senate: http://www.parl.gc.ca/LegisInfo/BillDetails.aspx?Language=E&Mode=1&Bill=C389&Parl=40&Ses=
Nathalie L 112512 Report post Posted August 1, 2011 Just a side note: it's Bill Siksay's private member's bill, and he did not, and will not run again... this means the bill will most likely die with him unless another private member of the NDP decides to take on the project. It's such a long process to bring this kind of legislation through parliament. With the amount of elections we have, it never seems to make it past 1st or 2nd reading before it's scrapped because of another election. *sad face*
Megan'sTouch 23875 Report post Posted August 1, 2011 I am ALL for expressing who you truly are, but 5 years old does seem a bit young, I would personally wait 7 or 8 before talking about all that. Very young children are bullied for not conforming to expected gender norms. Talking about it can only help.
