Because of all the fake bookings they wanted me to take a picture of the elevator in the lobby and then wait for them to send me the room number. I was uncomfortable with this, specifically because taking a pic of the elevator is a bit odd, then waiting to go. I also had work clothes on, got the day off unexpectedly. No issue at all. She mentioned she has a lot of people inquiring and saying they are at the hotel to get her room number but they never come up. I had an incredible time with her. Or take the stairs you probably won't have many people in there. I agree it's awkward but you can make it work.
