If it's close enough to the appointment time that I already left home I'd say 15 minutes. Most times that's happened to me I never heard back at all so there's no point in wasting my time. Usually if they are legitimately running late they will be very quick to text you back.

Lesson learned for me I guess.

I was excited to see this lady, and confirmed on the weekend. Then again last night.

All was good, and I fought traffic for an hour only to be ghosted at the appointment time.

I took the morning off, so I figured I'd just hang out for a while thinking maybe it was a time zone problem, since she's travelling. Nope.

Not a single word.

This happened a lot to me when I first started out, two suggestions I would make:

1) Don't leave home until you have reconfirmed your appointment. Might be tricky to get a response at the exact time but at least try to get a response some time a few hours before.

2) Stick with booking same-day appointments, if the ad gets bumped you know they are working and looking for clients, so they probably won't ghost you. Unfortunately that means you have to be regularly checking if you want to see a specific provider which is annoying.

Yeah, we confirmed twice, including the night before, where she said it was perfect for me to text her when I was there.

I gave an hour heads up, cause I anticipated traffic across the bridge, and didn't get a response, but it was early, so I didn't pay it any mind.

It's been like 4 hours since the scheduled date, and she still hasn't messaged to offer an explanation or apology either, so I don't know what's up.

I'd love to same day book, but a lot of ladies either don't do that, or the very in demand ones will fill their schedules.

(As I write this, I got a text saying she slept in)

It happens to the best of people. We all make mistakes from time to time and after reading many of your posts you are no exception.

Why? What benefits are to be had by spreading her name about. Other than potentially ruining her reputation. Why not discuss with her a way to resolve the inconvenience she caused you. It appears, as you said, to be a mistake. She slept in. It seems plausible to me. Especially since she’s been travelling. I’m always willing to give someone a second chance.

Tell me you didn’t read the thread without telling me you didn’t read it.

I tried to discuss it with her, and she didn’t respond at all.

if people want to know who it was, so they can make their own decision whether or not to book, that’s up to them.

FWIW, everyone I talked to, I gave them the excuse given to me, and recommended they still book.

While I appreciate that shit happens, my time is also worth something, and it’s kinda shitty to burn a whole morning and not hear a thing, after double confirming.

Why is a provider who ghosts clients entitled to a good reputation?

I’ll tell you, I read all the posts. No where did you mention other than in this post that she didn’t respond to your wanting an explanation. In a previous post  you ended it by saying as you write this she text you saying she slept in.Sleeping in is an explanation.

Is sleeping in the same as ghosting? I see it differently. Why are you and few others so quick to want to turn a mistake into something bigger.

That's kind of how it works in business, if you make "mistakes" like sleeping in for 4 hours past an appointment, people are going to go and see a competitor instead. Most of us appreciate being given a heads-up on that kind of stuff, I don't know why you feel the need to attack people who point out bad behavior.

Since when is asking why and having a different perspective considered attacking people. I’m a long time business owner with several employees. I’m aware how business works. Never have I ever considered sleeping in bad behaviour as I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt.. The extremes you’ve turned this discussions into I find bizarre.

Loon man I'm really not interested in having an academic debate over whether or not it is appropriate to call out time wasters. If you feel so strongly go and see her and write a positive review to balance out what was said here. Derailing topics by nitpicking useful info other people posted isn't helpful. We are all on here to share useful info and help each other out, not to get into arguments over the proper procedure when a provider ghosts you.

I would Not recommend booking same day appointments, as elite providers are organized with their schedules, and can only do that with the benefit of pre-booking. Look for providers with a variety of good reviews--that will benefit you, and them--and elevate the level of companionship available overall.
