AdamSandler 166 Report post Posted November 6 I won't say names and I'm just going to ask generally does lying about donation amount qualify to be added to the scams section? I personally think this situation does but I've seen some people post there and then get dragged by the community and I want to avoid that. I'd also like to avoid getting warnings on my account so admins if you see this and it's not allowed please remove it. I have double checked the rules and don't see anything against asking this type of question. Let's say you contact a provider and they give you their rates "$X for hh and $Y for h". You clarify what all they offer and what might be included. They confirm and say that everything is included in the price and nothing is extra. When you arrive you leave the donation and start things off. Maybe you chat a bit or get a massage. Then the provider stops and asks what else you would like. "this costs an extra $A, that costs an extra $B, the other costs an extra $C." To me this is a scam. It is at the very least extremely dishonest but I would call it a scam as the provider is intentionally lying to get people there. And before anyone asks there's no language barrier issue here at all.
EastcoastMale 0 Report post Posted November 6 (edited) It’s a true scam if the services that were agreed to are now being charged for again or you walk out leaving your money. Edited November 6 by EastcoastMale
RobertDion 71 Report post Posted November 6 (edited) Once you're there, and you already paid that 'base' amount, they guilt you into paying more, otherwise, you leave with absolutely nothing happening. And the 'extras' you're requesting aren't really extras, they're just standard for most people, but sometimes you get someone that is in the habit of asking the client about what they want, and what ever comes out of their mouth, they have a price tag for. It's as if to just show up was the base amount $3xx for the one hour, now that you're there, it's time to talk about the really cost. AdamSandler 166 Report post Posted November 6 (edited) Yeah basically. And that would be fine if she had made it clear or if I hadn't been EXTREMELY clear over both text and in person. As I said I think it's worth posting in scams but I don't want to get dragged for doing it so I wanted to get people's opinion on it first. Halisax 8 Report post Posted November 7 100% scam IMO... think about it in any other business, profession or setting... You take your car in for an oil change, agree with the shop that it will be $80 all in for the oil, change, filter, etc. Once they get your car on the lift and drain the oil, they tell you that the oil is going to cost you an extra $60. Yes the exact same oil that was included when you booked and paid for the service. Well now you're stuck, your car is on the lift with no oil in it, and they're pretty much cornering you into paying an extra $60 for something that was already included knowing that you have few options to get out of it... scam.
